Twinsen took the grate that was near to the pub. He soon disappeared below sea level and the surface of Citadel Island. He ducked down on the moving grate so that if there was any opposition then he could spot them early and be ready. Everything was calm until there was an almost silent bump as the grate rested against the stone floor. The were large logs floating around in the water, being carried with the current that was created by the generators in the opposite corner of the room. Twinsen steadied himself and then jumped onto one. Keeping his eyes fixed in one position and not moving his head, he carefully scanned his surroundings as he passed on his makeshift raft. To his disappointment and anger Twinsen realised that his troubles in going down into the sewers were in vain. He had wasted a lot of effort and about 10 minutes. He would only have time to search one more area, where was the most likely place that he could look around in the time left?
