Paint Schemes That our company has done:
(my figurines)
Your best bet for inspiration for a paint scheme, esp. camo schemes, is to look in books or on the web for examples, particularly tanks. I have posted links to these sites further down the page. Please feel free to send in your suggestions. If you cant find what you are looking for here, try these:
- You can't go wrong with one solid military color, followed by drybrushing and washing!

Catalog of Paint Schemes
(paint schemes from reality)
Paint schemes from
The Tales of the Four Horsemen
- A grey-blue Ostroc named TANSTAAFL
- A gleaming silver Exterminator "fully covered by a lush coat of blood red paint." War, a specialized Battlemech
- Desert-style camouflage, with a light tan undercoat and a single shade of a darker brown splotched over it; on Famine
- A forest/jungle camouflage, with medium olive splotches covering a light drab undercoat; on Pestilence
- Visually, Death is perhaps the most frightening of the Four Horsemen. Painted a matte chrome black, Horseman Four seems to
radiate darkness. Viewers have alternately described it as impossibly gleaming, and as a black hole. As with Horseman Two,
Death's hatchet is specially designed to resemble a sickle. Finally, a metal hood has been attached around the mech's head,
adding to the psychological impact of the battlemech.
