The Legend of Zelda: The Jade Triforce
Chapter 3
Link and Metallic venture in the dungeon...
It looks like there's enough light in here. There's no doorways to any other rooms, though.
Try bombing the walls. Maybe they're just sealed.
Link lit a few bombs and set them by the walls. They went off, but nothing happened.
Something's not right here. Why would there be an empty room without anyplace to go?
Let's try my Ocarina. One of my songs takes me to a dungeon's entrance.
Link played Manbo's Mambo (from when he learned it on Koholint Island) and instantly the wall seemed to melt away and form a doorway.
You know, every dungeon has a special weapon. I suppose we should look for that first.
Not yet. I've has a a few experiences where you had to have had the dungeon's master key to open many doors and chests. That should be our first priority.
As the two stepped into the next room some monsters attacked. Soon they were slain so Link and Metallic proceded throughout the dungeon. They bombed a few walls and upon to a room with a hole in the floor. In it there was a bottomless pit with a suspended platform with a switch on it. Once down there was seemingly no way back up. Oddly, though, there also was a block right above the hole on the ceiling that was the same size as the hole. If it were to fall, whoever stuck down there would be crushed for sure...or fall for eternity.
If one of us were to go down there, we may be able to get back up using the hook shot.
It's worth a try. I'll wait here while you hit the switch.
Okay. Here, give me the hook shot.
Link handed Metallic the hook shot and Metallic entered the pit. Metallic hit the button and a chest appeared by Link. At the same time the block above the hole started to move downward, closing the gap between the hole and itself.
Metallic, get out of there!
Metallic fired the hookshot and pulled himself out of the pit, just narrowly getting squashed.
That was a close one. I almost got turned into a zora-can.
The chest is still here. Let's see what all that trouble was for.
Link opened the chest and inside were two things: a weird hey with a giant slot on the handle and a gigantic drill.
This must be the master key and the dungeon weapon, er, "tool".
With that, they moved on through more rooms encountering strange monsters. Finally they came to an empty room with a keyhole with a long, dark crevice below it in the far wall.
I'll try the key.
Link put the key into position, but nothing happened.
There's something we're missing... Look at that -- the slot on the key lines up with the one on the wall. Hmmmm... what do we have that'll fit in there?
Would my sword work?
YES! That would be perfect.
Link shoved his sword into the holes and the room started to shake violently. The wall opened up in the middle a small bit and revealed another hole about the size of a person's head. Just the right size of the drill.
Awww... I tire of these games. I suppose we'll use our dungeon "tool" now. Here goes nothing.
He put the drill in the hole and twisted so its nose worked the hole, pushing the wall backward, revealing a staircase.
This is it. Let's go.
They traveled down the flight of stairs and found themselves in a room of many color. The stairs suddenly disappeared and they heard a cackle.
I am Prismix and I'm your nightmare in living color! Prepare for your demise!!!
Beams of light shot out from walls, which were lined with lights, as a ghostly figure flew forth and attacked.
I have and idea. Prisms need light to work, so smash all the lights in here.
Okay. You keep him busy and I'll destroy them.
The battle raged with Link and Prismix. They were so involved that Prismix didn't even notice his precious lights were being put out one by one. Finally Metallic took out the last light. There was just a dull glow now coming from Prismix who was laying on the floor.
You are...a formdable...opponent...but...you...cannot win...because there are...six other new...worlds...red, ...orange, ...yellow, green, blue, ...and purple...AGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Prismix sent out a blast and caused these different color worlds to appear with his last ounce of energy. He left behind him a prism and a red jewel in his place.
It looks as though we have our work cut out for us. My guess is that this prism is a transporter. Red is the next world in our quest so here's a red jewel.
The princess is waiting for your return back at the castle.
Let's get going then. Prism, return us to the overworld!
Warping...
