Metallic leaped out of the way of Link's magic arrow.
Metallic! I'm sorry, I thought you were Ganon!
Well, I'm not. I guess there's no harm done, so let's get going.
I'm sorry...I could've destroyed you.
Link and Metallic started walking again. After walking down the path for a good part of the afternoon, a glowing blue protal appeared in front of them.
Now what is that?
The portal glimmered around and an image of the castle appeared in it.
Hey, that's the castle! We have to get to Zelda!
No Link! Don't go in there!
Metallic held Link back from jumping into the portal.
It may look like Hyrule castle, but it's another trick. Here, I'll show you.
Metallic picked up a rock and threw it into the vortex. It disappeared and did not show up on the other side.
I suppose we should continue moving.
Link headed away from the portal and Metallic followed.
You know, things aren't all that different here than they are in the future. Like you we have many Magi who possess different magics. The Magi are wizards of Hylian blood such as yourself. They are the only ones in our time who can use magic. Each Magi must look deep within themselves and create their own medallion symbolizing themselves. The three head Magi are the only ones who have ever done this. They are the Magi of Thunder, The Magi of Wind, and the Magi of Stone. They had seven apprentices. Each apprentice had to make one new weapon of the rainbow. These weapons were so powerful that they were sealed in chests. When Jinero learned of these, he broke into the Temple of Thought, the refuge of the Magi. Jinero took the seven chests the Rainbow weapons were in, but he could not open them. Each chest was given to one of his minions. The one that was given to Prismix was lost during his trip here. The rest are scattered across the seven worlds.
What happened to the Magi?
The Magi knew that their magic medallions could open the chests, so they hid them in Hyrule. The Magi also realized that they couldn't stop Jinero alone so they used their powers to create the powers of Thunder, Wind, and Stone. Each of these powers included armor, shield, and sword given to the three best warriors of Hylian descent. These were the chosen ones of destiny to hold the Triforces. A fourth warrior who owned the Prism Gauntlets also sought out arifacts on his own quest. The Ruby Pendant, The Light Crystal, and The Teacher Stone. When the Pentant was worn by the warrior, the Crystal was held by the warrior's hand, and the Stone was put under the Triforce symbol in the Temple of Thought, the warrior held forth a rainbow weapon and a powerful technique was taught. This was the warrior whose fate was to hold the fourth Triforce. When I traveled back in time, all of the magic of my world was brought with and dispersed into yours.
Wow...that's interesting. You know, where's this Temple of Thought at?
Oh, it's where your Temple of Time is now. Look, we're here.
Metallic pointed up to a glowing yellow sphere surrounding the Castle of Light.
Only the hero who wishes to obtain the Prism Gauntlets should enter. I'll wait outside for you. I have confidence that you'll succeed.
Link entered the Castle and walked down the long corridor. At the end, there was a plaque. On it was an insciption. "To gain treasure, you must prove well, that you are not evil. Perform for us a simple trick, to show you know, how to use magic. If sufficient is your chore, then you may enter through this door."
A trick, eh? There's only one magic I know that I have with me that I control. SEEEEEE`-YAAAAAAAAAA!!!
With that, Link charged up his sword and emitted an energy blast.
Immediately, the door opened.
Cool.
Link entered the room to find the Prism Gauntlets floating on a pillar in the middle of the room engulfed in golden light. He grabbed them and put them on and was suddenly transported outside.
Link! I see that you have the Prism Gauntlets. What's that slot in the right Gauntlet?
I don't know. It has the same shape as the crystal Prismix left us. I think that it goes in the Gauntlet.
I just thought of something... Could Prismix's crystal be... the Light Crystal?
What a thought! If that's so, then we already have two of the four things needed to learn new weapon teachniques... Do you hear that?
A faint sound of gallopping could be heard getting louder.
Sounds like the horseman's back.
The knight came gallopping over the hill, full speed as usual torward Metallic and Link.
You know, I've had enough of this guy. Let's take him out once and for all.
Gotcha.
Metallic ran torward the knight, full speed, and then abruptly stopped in the middle of the path and bent down. The horseman tried to stop, but his horse ran into Metallic and both were thrown into the air. The horse disappeared and Link charged torward the knight with his sword. Metallic got up and snuck up behind the knight. Link and the knight traded blows for awhile when Metallic held the knight and Link stuck him through with his sword. The knight vanished in a puff of smoke. A bright light appeared in his place, surrounding a chest.
Do you know what this could be?
I have a good idea. Let's find out.
Link opened the chest to find a multi-colored staff inside.
It's the Rainbow Staff! One of the Rainbow weapons! This will really help us along the way. Let's get going before it's dark.
Metallic lead the way across the last stretch of Illusion Meadow. At the end the was a cavern. Metallic went inside with Link behind him. At the back of the cave, there was a platform with a red diamond symbol on it.
This is the warp point to the Red World Dungeon. Once we use the crystal here, we will be able to use it anywhere to warp to the Red World.
Link placed the Light Crystal in his right Prism Gauntlet and the Red Crystal in Light Crystal.
Stand close, I'm going to play the Song of the Rainbow.
Link played the song and he and Metallic were teleported to the Red World Dungeon. When the warp was complete, Link fell to his knees, gasping.
It's...too...hot in here...
Link coughed and a puff of smoke came out of his mouth.
That's because red symbolizes heat.
Therefore, that's what the result is.
All I know...is...I can't take...very...much
of...this...
Don't worry, with any luck we'll get through
this pretty quick. Let's get moving.
Link stayed close to Metallic's cool metal armor to keep from fainting.
Metallic...take my sword. You'll probably do better with it rather than me.
Okay, but stay close.
Metallic sliced through a few monsters as they went into the next room. In the next room they had to defeat moving walls before being crushed. For that they got the Boss's Key.
Can we hurry? I don't think I can take much more of this...
I can't bear to see you this way...you'll thank me later for this. It's for your own good.
Metallic grabbed the Light Crystal and commanded to it.
Crystal, return me to the overworld!
Metallic placed the crystal in Link's hand. As Link started to dematerialize, he grabbed the crystal back.
Metallic, nooooo....
Link faded away to the overworld.
I'm sorry...I'll get through this for you.
Metallic continued on throughout the dungeon. His hardest task was tricking two creatures to kill each other by having them jump into each other. He finally came to a room with ice all around the inside.
That's awfully strange to see ice in this heat.
Suddenly two puffs of smoke materialized into fire monsters. Metallic used his sword and shoved one into the wall where it disintegrated. There was a plaque behind the wall where the creature had melted it away. The other monster disappeared in a puff of smoke. The insciption read: "To where I look you should seek. There lies the Ice Launchers."
Let's see...the plaque is facing...that way. I guess I should've brought some bombs with me.
Suddenly, the fire creature showed up in front of Metallic again.
Metallic stabbed him with his sword and kicked him backwards. He hit the ice directly across from the plaque. The monster melted the ice and evaporated. In a small alcove, there was a large chest.
What do we have here?
Metallic strode torward the cheat and opened it. Inside were the Ice Launchers. They resembled gauntlets a bit, but actually looked like a weapon that was just worn on one's wrist. Metallic put them on and left the room. He followed a long hallway until he came to the boss room's door. Metallic opened the lock and went inside. A voice spoke out of the pool of fire in the center of the room.
I am Master Darkfyre. All trespassers will be annihilated! Your end is imminant!
A large dragon flew out of the fire and blew a torch of flame at Metallic. He dodged and ran to the other side of the room.
Let's see how well these things work.
Metallic activated the Ice Launchers. He shot a streak of ice at Darkfyre. It hit him and froze part of his body.
You will pay for that dearly!
Darkfyre shot another blast of fire at Metallic and then ducked into the pool of fire. When he resurfaced, the frozen spot was thawed.
So, that fire feeds him. Let's get rid of it then.
Metallic shot ice at the rink of fire. It was soon coated with ice all the way across.
Noooooooooo! My wonderful flame! I'll make you suffer for this!!!
I don't think so.
Metallic brought the Ice Launcher up to his eye and aimed true. He fired at full blast and hit Darkfyre. He continued doing so until he was completely chilled. Metallic walked up to the frozen monster and hit him with his sword.
I may have failed, but you'll never win. This world belongs to us!
Darkfyre let out a shriek and then shattered into thousands of pieces. In his place he left an orange crystal.
Our goal is accomplished. Now I have to go see how Link is. Crystal, take me to the overworld!
