DARKSTAR STABLES

Red Line

Stablemaster: The Board of Directors of Darkstar. The day-to-day running of the stable is handled by Samuel Hawkins.

Affiliation: Neutral/Independent. No house affiliation.

Colors/Badge: Gray and black. Insignia is a black Cameron Star against a gray background.

'Mechs: 26

MechWarriors: 26

Standard Contract: Darkstar takes 20% of the warrior's earnings. They don't pay a monthly allowance, but since they do cover all repairs and medical expenses, the warriors end up being pretty well off.

Rating: AA, Darkstar is considered a very fair employer and is flexible regarding contracts. Although they don't pay their warriors, the fact that the warriors don't have to pay for repairs or medical expenses means that they get to keep a large portion of their earnings from the arena.

Personnel: Samuel Hawkins runs the day-to-day affairs of the stable, He is a laid-back sort of person who's door is always open. He is apparently fairly wealthy, quite intelligent, and a retired mechwarrior. No one actually seems to know where he's from or what unit(s) he served with. The Chief Tech is Joanna Barnes (Jo for short), she is considered a miracle-worker among techs and can fix just about anything. She has extensive knowledge of BattleMechs, Aero- space craft, dropships, and personal equipment. She holds several advanced engineering degrees and likes to modify equipment.

Facilities: The facility itself is rumored to have been a mech construction and testing facility used by the SLDF. It was pretty much reduced to rubble during the Succession Wars and all the advanced tech was stripped out of it long ago. It features living quarters, a mech bay, recreational facilities, simulators, a training field, a live-fire range, and a landing pad for up to two large dropships. It lies about 35 miles outside of Solaris city.

Comments: Darkstar is a neutral shipping company that operates throughout the Inner Sphere. They never ship military cargoes (that anyone knows of) so none of the houses bother them. They formed sometime after the fall of the Star League and have been in business ever since, hauling cargo and passengers from anywhere to anywhere. Thier ships all feature a black Cameron star, the corporate logo, which is supposedly a symbol of mourning for the fall of the Star League and the subsequent impact on industry, technology, etc. No one is really sure why they set up a stable on Solaris, it won't show a profit for several years yet based on the number of warriors they currently have and the expense they went through to refurbish their facility.

Rising MechWarrior's:

    Hawk

    Coyote

    Saber

    Victory
