Grace's Notebook
One unique aspect of the Gabriel Knight series is the indepth research Jane Jensen puts into each of her games. My library consists of references that Jane Jensen used when writing her games, as well as other books that relate to the mysteries in the Gabriel Knight series. Keep in mind that some of these deal with very controversial issues, and their content should not necessarily be taken as fact. Most of these books are available through public or university libraries, or you can click on the book you want and you will be taken directly to its listing at Amazon Books (please read the message from Amazon.com). If you've read any of the books below, or another book related to the GK series, feel free to submit a review.

Gabriel
Knight: Sins of the Fathers Jane Jensen's Synopsis (excerpt from Amazon.com): Voodoo, murder, and ancient secrets in a neo-gothic thriller - if any of the above words appeal to you, you'll probably enjoy this book. Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers is the first in a new series of supernatural mysteries. The title character is a down-and-out horror writer and book shop owner in New Orleans. When a wave of homicides dubbed 'The Voodoo Murders' hit the city, Gabriel sees a chance to get some real-life research for a new novel. But the more he learns about both the crimes and the religion, the more the forces that have gripped him since childhood seem to be gaining control. The book is plotted as a hard-core intellectual mystery with lots of Voodoo research and some history and mysticism thrown in. The
Tomb of God Card catalog description (excerpt from Amazon.com): It began as an attempt to solve an intriguing historical puzzle. But years of painstaking research revealed something more: the exact geographical location of Christ's tomb, in southern France. In The Tomb of God, Richard Andrews and Paul Schellenberger take you along step-by-step as they track down the most closely guarded secret of the last two millennia. Their starting point is Rennes-le-Chateau, a small village in France's Languedoc region that is at the center of legends about a fabulous treasure - the Ark of the Covenant, according to some; the Holy Grail, according to others. Now Andrews and Schellenberger provide the answers - and in the process uncover Christianity's secret history. Listed in the "Further Reading" section of the GK3 manual.
