Age: 30
Background: David Simons never intended to be a superhero, especially in the leadership role of Matrix. A brilliant scientist, his fascination with computers inspired him to explore cyberntic links between the human mind and computers. After being thown out of graduate school, he teamed up with an attractive oceanographer to develop a deep-sea exploration suit utilizing cybernetic controls. When the prototype is stolen and his partner disappears, he reworks the suit into powerful armour, his intention being to do what the police seemed unable to by solving the disappearance. He crossed paths with Matrix by accident and soon found himself liking the thrill of adventure as Bolo.
His personal life recently became a little more complicated when he became legal guardian to his nephew, Tyler, after he apprehended him breaking into a bank.
