"Reason, ruling alone, is a force confining, and passion, unattended, is a flame that burns to its own destruction..." --Kahlil Gibran
Crystal has yet to provide me with information on Clarissa, but here is a trump image of her. Clarissa's trump image demonstrates certain key details of her demeanor. She is a stern woman, exacting and abrupt. For her, life is a series of agendas, and punctuality is of the essence. She speaks but little, and spares no time for court frippery. Her dress is military in style, and gives some indication that she originates from a high-technology shadow.
In comparing Clarissa to her brother Karl, one player stated that, "Clarissa was Genghis Khan to Karl's Napoleon."
"The children of Benedict are a disgrace to a great man. He asked so little of them, and they gave him nothing. Yes, she is skilled -- I will admit that -- but she lacks any sort of personality. He, however, has 'personality' in abundance, and little else. Yet, by virtue of their parentage, both could gain true prominence if only they could learn to see beyond the blinders they wear." --Arthur (May 1, 1997)
"One would not think to address Commander Clarissa as a wounded bird, lest one wishes their head handed them on a platter, but for the fact, that a wounded bird she is. Her proficiency in arms is unrivaled in our generation, but for all her martial skills she seems ill equipped to deal with the emotional turmoil that burns within. Whatever demons she wrestles do not seemly bend to steel or guile, and her frigid continence is an ongoing testament to the scarring they leave in their wake She is so much her father's daughter. I can only hope she finds her peace before she too is consumed by the dark despair that took Benedict from us." --Chadwick (Dec. 14, 1996)
"Though only briefly was I in her acquaintance, I remember her strong and brave. I wonder, has time made her better or worse?" -- Jaysen (January 1998)
"A well-trained warrior. However, lacking any bit of Honor, Chivalry, or Decorum. She also lacks a sense of humor. One might expect better, but one would be sadly disappointed. Of course, one who knows her well, knows just what buttons to press, and oddly enough they work all the time, a shame you can not teach an Old Dog new tricks." --Karl (Dec. 1, 1996)
"A shame I never got to know my dear aunt. I'm certain we could have had fun reminiscing over Karl, but of course that would involve speaking and smiling, at which Clarissa has shown little skill. How clever to have all or reality at your disposal and to narrow your focus to a rifle's scope. How goes the old phrase, 'those that live by the sword...'?" --Konrad (January 1998)
"The sole survivor of Benedict's clan... How will you handle that burden? From what I have seen, with the same cold sense of obligation, honor, and duty as every other placed before you. You are so cold, you are almost inhuman -- my perfect antithesis." --Talia Bacquillinor (Dec. 22, 1997)
"After my initial shock when meeting her for the first time, I realized the name (and looks) were merely a coincidence. My Clarissa was not a reflection of this Clarissa. Perhaps if she would let her hair down and open up a little...." --Torrence (March 1, 1998)
