Amber- The latest bastion of Order, currently ruled by King Random, though there is some question as to how long that reign will continue, with Amber so threatened by the external forces of Chaos and the Abyss, and by the ambitions of the family.
Ambre- A primal plane that is one of Amber's foreshadows. For a time, Ambre belonged to Talia...it is here that she encountered Amon and gave birth to Nicholas.
Angland- Shadow location of Bedlam, the mental hospital where Talia was left in a coma after being mind-wiped and severely burned by Jak. It is here that Talia first encountered Drakula, the Prince of Darkness.
Antilles- A Golden Circle Shadow located next to Elysium, it is mostly a water world with a few archipelagos and a large undersea community. The culture is like mythical Greece, complete with merfolk, and magic is strong there. Lorian spent a great deal of her life in Antilles, and her foster family still lives there.
Aquilla- A high-tech, undersea Shadow, inhabited by air breathers who live in bubble cities. Aquilla is located near Tendoxin, a high-tech. Mexican-style Shadow where Martin hangs out. Both Lorian and Llewella lived there for a time.
Arden- The forest of Amber; personal Shadow of Julian.
A'Jounlea- See Europe.
Carcosa- A primal plane that is one of Amber's foreshadows. Carcosa existed before Ambre and was the staging place for a major conflict between Order and the Abyss, as represented by King Aldones and the demon lord Hastur. Carcosa is a prison, sealed off from the rest of reality. Hastur is bound to its warped Pattern while the King in Yellow is also trapped there, existing as restless spirit, seeking escape and the chance the opportunity to destroy all of reality in order to restore Carcosa.
The Channard Institute- Personal Shadow of Nicholas, a shadow bordering Earth, similar to Earth in most ways, though more peaceful and ordered. The Channard Institute itself is a psychiatric institution where Konrad worked as assistant to the Institute's founder and namesake, Dr. Channard.
Crab Island- Shadow prison where Clarissa temporarily imprisoned Karl
Earth- The Earth of the first five books, where Corwin was trapped at the time of his amnesia. Earth has gained a great deal of independent reality due to the number of Amberites who have spent considerable time there. Prince Chadwick was born and raised on Earth until the time of his father's death.
Elysium- A Golden Circle Shadow located next to Antilles, with a culture like ancient Greece. It belonged for a time to Ariel, and is home of her mother, Calypso.
Europe- A Golden Circle shadow formerly known as A'Jounlea. The name changed when Prince Karl conquered the shadow and assumed the role of King. After his death, Konrad assumed control of Europe and declared himself God-Emperor, but he ruled for only a week or two before his disappearance.
Karamoush- Golden circle shadow that has figured prominently into the campaign storyline, currently ruled by Queen Claire.
The Labyrinth- Demi-shadow adjacent to Shadow Earth and the Channard Institute. The Labyrinth served as gate to the Abyss, and teemed with the abyssal minions of Hastur and the King in Yellow. This shadow was eventually destroyed...or at least sent hurtling back into the Abyss, with Konrad and the King in Yellow inside.
The Library- Shadow construct of Mandor; the place where Konrad was raised.
Liosálfar- Personal shadow of Talia and shadow of her birth, a place of sylvan beauty and elder magic.
Lowàr - Shadow that currently houses Corwin's pattern.
Miskaton- Personal shadow of Chadwick.
Morningstar Courts- The faerie courts near Liosálfar, where Talia and Ariel took Corwin to hide him from Eric/Jareth after Talia rescued him from the destruction of Paris.
Mythos- Personal shadow of Quynn
Reath- Personal shadow of Torrence. An island world with a climate very similar to Earth.
Rebma- City under the sea, currently ruled by Queen Llewella.
Sarbonne- Golden circle shadow that has figured prominently into the campaign storyline on several occasions.
Tendoxin- A high-tech. Mexican-style Shadow where Martin hangs out. It is located near Aquilla.
