After being picked up by another train full of bemused passengers and getting back to White City, we entered the Wood Lane train depot site and walked alongside the approach tracks (which had been isolated for safety) to get to the Westbound platform. En route we had a good view of one of the 1908 exhibition halls, part of the original 'White City'.

The westbound platform is also badly vandalised but again you see evidence of its original purpose as a station for the 1908 exhibition.

Standing on the long curving platform, I was again hit by a wave of familiarity and understanding. I think this is where Ginge pushed the Medusa on to the rails. With the rest of the group wandering off in either direction, I stood for a while thinking about the Tomorrow People, about hopes for the future with their roots in the abandoned past.

Standing there, one of the older men asked if I would be writing about this in my diary that night. With ideas for a fan fic leaping fully formed into my head, I assured him I would write something!
I noticed a corridor leading back from the platform into darkness and couldn't help wondering if I would find TIM and the others waiting patiently at the end!

So I went to have a look. The corridor ended in a flight of stairs blocked with a concrete plug. Somehow, though, I have the feeling that if the Lab is anywhere, it's behind a concealed panel somewhere down there. Still, I couldn't really stay to look. The man with the torch moved on and I moved on too.

I'm reliably informed that this is the only surviving 'Way Out' sign on the station. So there you go.
