Office of Continuing Education

The mission of the Office of Continuing Education is to provide the professional and vocational community in Sitka and the UAS outreach areas with high quality cost-effective training and educational opportunities delivered on a self-support basis to enhance professionalism, promote economic growth, improve the quality of life, maximize resources, foster cooperation, and further the University's mission.

We provide short courses in such areas as personal and professional development, management skills, total quality management, communication, healthcare, women's issues, trade and technical topics, outdoor education, business topics, marine topics, specialty art classes, and many others.

Additionally we coordinate a number of Elderhostels each year, facilitate cooperative training through local agencies, provide a variety of licensing and certification courses and arrange custom training on request.
