The mission of the Office of Continuing Education is to provide the professional
and vocational community in Sitka and the UAS outreach areas with high
quality cost-effective training and educational opportunities delivered
on a self-support basis to enhance professionalism, promote economic growth,
improve the quality of life, maximize resources, foster cooperation, and
further the University's mission. |

Continuing Education serves the University, the community, the region, and the state by providing nearly 80 workshops each year, four conference events, numerous Elderhostel programs, the Alaska Naturalist (tm) program, and two to three Certificate Programs addressing specific needs in our community. |
