Humpback Whale Practicum

This class will allow Sitka students to actively participate in scientific research through participation in data analysis and management, along with field work in Sitka Sound.

The student interns will learn scientific methods through participating in matching photographs of individual whales to various data sets, participating in shore-based surveys at Whale Park, entering the data into a database management program and participating in field work.
Note: Enrollment is limited and by the permission of instructor only
