(Not yet spotted...)

Badge, Chief Physician: (To be filled in later). (Seen?)

Badge, Combat Infantry Badge (CIB): US Army Badge awarded to combat infantrymen and US Army Special Forces for time served in combat. Worn by those who've earned it on USAF uniforms. Here for reference. (Not yet spotted...)

Awardable to USAF and other services. Here for comparison. (Not yet spotted...)

Badge, Expert Infantry Badge (EIB): Similar to the EFMB above, the test for this badge is almost exclusively hands on and focusses on the primary skills needed by an infantryman. Not seen on USAF Uniforms. (Real World)

Badge, Explosive Ordinance Disposal (Basic) (EOD): Interservice Badge awarded for completion of the EOD school(s). Depending on Service (USAF, US Army, USMC, and US Navy), the schools required vary. The two common course areas cover EOD Reconnaisance techniques (to locate unexploded ordnance safely), basic demolition skills, render safe procedures (RSP's) for conventional air-delivered and ground deployed ordnance (including ejection seats), and improvised explosive device (IED or "home-made" bomb) disarming. To this, the other services add training in disarming chemical and nuclear devices. The US Army follows this training with Army-specific equipment (.50-cal Barret Sniper rifles, the SEE Excavator, EOD robot). The US Navy EOD Technicians continue on to do training disarming torpedos and naval mines and naval combat diving techniques. EOD units are often tasked to support the US Secret Service in securing locations used by the President and other Government persons. (This is what Ferretti is wearing in COTG)

Tattoos: See: Uniform, General USAF

Uniform, BDU's: Standard Issued utility and combat uniform for all US Services (Will be replaced in USMC Service soon.). Consists of trousers with 6 pockets ("normal" pockets plus two thigh pockets) and a blouse with 4 pockets on the front. Typically worn with the blouse loose. Pants are all-button closures and have a reinforced back-side and knees. The blouse has sleeves designed to be rolled in a manner that covers the lighter colored inside cloth. Available in several color patterns and two weights: summer and temperate.

3-Color Desert Olive Drab Woodland

Uniform, BDU Cap: Army and Air force style headgear that comes in both a summer weight (with eyelets in the side) and winter weight (with earflaps inside). (Worn at various times by SG-1)

Uniform, "Boonie Hat" or Sun Hat: Circular brimmed hat with camouflage loops, ventilation eyelets, and string for wear in jungle or hot climates in lieu of the BDU hat. The wider brim provides better sun protection and protection from vegetation than the standard hat. (Worn at various times by SG-1 in various colors)

Uniform, Desert Boot: Similar in design to the black Hot Weather Boot shown below, the Desert boot differs in several ways. First, it is constructed of a tan colored nylon with a rough-out suede upper. The drainage openings in the insoles are gone, as is the metal spike plate in the sole. The boot is lined with a Cool-Max lining and a heat barrier in the sole. (Worn by SG-1)

Uniform, Extreme Cold Weather Clothing System: Teams in cold-weather regions are usually issued the Extended Cold-Weather Clothing System. This system protects from 40°F down to -60°F. The ECWCS consists of 5 layers. These layers are: ECWCS Layer No. 1: Polypropylene undershirt and drawers, with standard wool socks (two sock system is preferred with a thin liner sock and a heavier wool outer sock); ECWCS Layer No. 2: Polyester fiberpile shirt (sometimes referred to as a "Bear Suit Top") and trousers, along with bib overalls; ECWCS Layer No. 3: Polyester coat liner and nylon/cotton field pants; ECWCS Layer No. 4: Nylon/Gore-Tex® laminate parka and trousers; ECWCS Layer No. 5: White Nylon/Cotton overgarment parka and trousers, also known as the snow parka and trousers, or "Overwhites" (where conditions warrant). (Not positively seen in SG-1)

Uniform, Field Jacket M65: Jacket worn with BDU's and available in the same patterns. Can be fitted with a polyester filled liner for colder weather and has a roll-uf cloth hood in the zippered collar. (Worn by SG-1 and others in colder climates in later seasons.)

Uniform, Flight Gloves: Nomex gloves with kidskin palm and fingers, these gloves are issued to pilots and used by special operations troops for tasks requiring fine manual dexterity. Some troops (like Jack) remove the fingertips. Available in Sage (light green) and Black. Typically, these don't last long in hard use. (Jack and others wear these) Andy Cal adds: "O'Neill's fingerless gloves are military-issue black Nomex flight gloves, NSN 8415-01-029-11XX, conforming to mil-spec MIL-G-811888. They can be purchased seen and purchased: here These do not come in the fingerless version, you must cut off the fingertips yourself. Tip: O'Neill rolls the long ends back on themselves. If you try on a pair and fold back the end, it will look exactly the way O'Neill wears them in the show. Further hint: if you do purchase a pair of these and cut off the fingertips, either use a hot-knife, or else burn the ends *very lightly* with a match or cigarette lighter after using a scissor. This is so the threads don't fray and come unravelled. "

Uniform, General USAF notes:
General: Uniform clothing must be neat, clean, pressed, properly fitted, in good condition, zipped, snapped, or buttoned. Footwear must be shined, and in good repair. Watches must be conservative. Bracelets must be conservative, no wider than one inch, and not present safety hazard. A maximum of three rings may be worn at any time. Necklaces must be concealed under the collar or undershirt.
Undershirts: "Brown. Either V-neck, U-neck, crew-neck, or athletic style without pockets. EXCEPTION: MAJCOM commanders approve black, crew-neck undershirts, long-sleeved black or brown turtlenecks, dickies, or thermal undershirt without pockets. Members may wear white thermal undershirts even if exposed at neck. Installation commanders may prescribe color, unit designation, and cloth or silk screen emblem to be worn on left side of chest not to exceed 5 inches in diameter; only white with food service and hospital whites."

From AFI 36-2903

Beeper and cellular phone: Clipped to waistband or purse or carried in left hand; prohibited unless required to perform duties.
Attaché' case, gym bag, and back pack: Carried in left hand or over left shoulder. (EXCEPTION: Members wear back pack using both shoulder straps when riding two-wheeled vehicles or using crutches.)
Eyeglasses and Sunglasses: Free of ornamentation on frames and lenses. Conservative, clear, slightly tinted, or photosensitive lenses indoors or in formation. Conservative lenses and frames outdoors (faddish styles and mirrored lenses prohibited). No sunglasses in formation. Not worn around the neck.
Hair Styles:
Tattoos:
"Unauthorized (content): Tattoos/Brands anywhere on the body that are obscene, advocate sexual, racial, ethnic, or religious discrimination are prohibited in and out of uniform. Tattoos/brands that are prejudicial to good order and discipline, or of a nature that tends to bring discredit upon the Air Force are prohibited in and out of uniform.
Inappropriate (military image): Excessive tattoos/brands will not be exposed or visible (includes visible through the uniform) while in uniform. Excessive is defined as any tattoo/brands that exceed ¼ of the exposed body part and those above the collarbone and readily visible when wearing an open collar uniform."

EXCEPTION: Women are authorized to wear one small spherical, conservative, diamond, gold, white pearl, or silver pierced, or clip earring per earlobe and the earring worn in each earlobe must match. Earring should fit tightly without extending below the earlobe. (EXCEPTION: Connecting band on clip earrings.)
Civilian Attire: (1) Official duty: Members are prohibited from attaching, affixing or displaying objects, articles, jewelry or ornamentation to or through the ear, nose, tongue, or any exposed body part (includes visible through clothing). Earring should fit tightly without extending below the earlobe. (EXCEPTION: Connecting band on clip earrings) (See notes 3 and 5). (2) Off duty on a military installation: Members are prohibited from attaching, affixing or displaying objects, articles, jewelry or ornamentation to or through the ear, nose, tongue, or any exposed body part (includes visible through clothing). EXCEPTION: Piercing of earlobes by women is allowed, but should not be extreme or excessive. The type and style of earrings worn by women on a military installation should be conservative and kept within sensible limits. ."

Uniform, Hot Weather Boot: Descendant of the original OD Green Vietnam era Jungle Boot, this boot differs in having a taller upper made of black Nylon, speedlaces to make donning and doffing them quicker, a "Panama sole" more likely to retain traction in slippery mud, and the retention of the steel anti-spike plate in the sole. (Standard Issue)

Uniform Jacket: This jacket is typically worn in lieu of the standard BDU blouse by Stargate teams. Fitted with Velcro for quick attachment of patches and has elasticized collar, waist, and wrists.

Uniform, Jaffa Helmet, Heru'ur: This helmet is used by Heru'ur's Jaffa when interacting with primitive cultures to impress upon these peoples that they represent gods. These helmets seem to be a more primitive form of the helmets employed by Ra's Horus Guard as it appears to lack the vision devices and articulated beak installed in those helmet in lieu of a vision slot in the front of the helmet. Like Ra's Horus Model, it also melts fully into the Jaffa's collar instead of the mechanical openning used by Apophis' Serpent Guards.

Uniform, Marine Corps Cover: Soft hat worn with BDU's by Marines. Similar to the BDU hat except taller and with ironed on "Globe and Anchor" on the front. (Also worn, sans "Globe and Anchor", by US Navy Sea-Bees.) (Standard issue to Marines)

Uniform, Marine Infantry Combat Boot and Jungle/Desert Boot: The Infantry Combat Boot and Jungle/Desert Boot are the latest developments in an ongoing process to improve Marine combat footwear.  The intent is to bring Marines standard temperate and hot-weather boots of a quality comparable or better to many popular commercial brands. Both boots have been standardized to provide uniformity of appearance.  The boots are dyed 'coyote brown' and either pair may be worn with either the desert or woodland combat utility uniforms.  (Not seen in Stargate SG-1)

Uniform, Marine Combat Utility: The USMC is phasing in this new uniform over the next 3-4 years to replace BDU's. (Not seen in SG-1)

Woodland Cammo

Desert Cammo minus Blouse

Woodland Cammo

Desert Cammo

Urban Cammo

Uniform, Marine and Airforce Desert BDU (6-color): Standard US Uniform (BDU's) for use in Desert environments. Available in two patterns: 3-Color and 6-Color. 6-Color models feature a pattern including black and white circles representing pebbles and giving the uniform its "chocolate chip pattern" nickname.

Uniform, Security Forces in DBDU's: Compare to Stargate Uniforms.

Uniform, Speedlace Combat Boot: Constructed of siliconized leather to promote the passage of water vapor out of the boot while remaining water resistant, these boots are notoriously hard to make very shiny. Taller than the boots they replaced (the Z-Tread Vietnam era Combat boots), these boots come with the quick to don/doff speedlace lacing system and a sewn in tongue that comes almost all the way up the boot to keep water out of the boot. The sole is sturdy and long wearing, though slips easy in mud. Once broken in, these boots are quite comfortable. (Worn by SG-1)

Uniform, Stargate Team (OD):

Uniform, Stargate Team (Desert: 4th Season):

Uniform, Serpent Armor, Jaffa:

Uniform, Vapor Barrier Boots: Rubber shelled and felt-filled boots for use in extreme cold (down to roughly -70 degrees Fahrenheit). These can also be used for attachment of standard military skis and snowshoes.

Wings, Command Pilot: (To be filled in later). (Seen?)
