Let's see...you wanna know a little about me, you say?

For the cultural background, I am a Southern Belle, born and bred in Louisiana, but presently hang my bonnet in Texas. The Big "D" to be exact! I am very much in love with and have been married to my best friend, Al, for more than 8 years now, and at this time in our lives we are busier than we have ever been! We have been through some very tough times, as most couples do, but we have made it this far, and don't plan on giving up anytime soon!

If you have browsed my site, you have learned a lot about me, because these pages were created around my interests. My interests are very diverse, even the same interest ranging two the opposite ends of the rainbow. But to give you more of the "scoop" about the "real" me, then keep reading...

I love to read, anything I can get my hands on, really. From thick novels (presently I am in the midst of "North and South" by John Jakes), to poetry, which I love to read and write, to magazine articles. I also write, again, a little bit of everything. I have had 2 poems published, and I am currently working on a novel. You can find some of my poetry on this site.

Al and I do not have "people" children at this time, but we are talking about that in the very near future. *Grin* We do, however, have a four footed child, a black Lab, Bear. He is currently on an extended vacation at my brother's house (apartment life is no life for a big doggie!) but hopefully in the next year he will have a big yard to play in back with us.

I am quite nifty in the kitchen, thanks to my Mamaw's wonderful teaching. From the age of nine I was in the kitchen cooking full meals for my family. Once again, my tastes are very diverse, from the down home cookin' I was raised on to the extravagant such as sushi.

Music holds a very special place in my heart, anything from Carmen to Yanni to Lionel Richie to Celine Dion to Def Leppard. With a collection of over 600 CD's, I always have plenty of tunes going.

God and my family and friends come before anything in my life, and these pages are dedicated to them.

To God, I dedicate this site as an honor to Him, for my life and the many blessings for which He has given me. For it is very true, without Him, I am nothing!

To my husband, Al, I dedicate this site, for without him, a very large part of me is missing. He is truly my best friend, my lover, my life. We met when we were but children, married quite young, for all the right reasons (because we truly love each other!), and have grown into adulthood together, always sharing our dreams, laughter and tears.

To my family, who has stood behind me in all my ventures in life. Sometimes they think I have completely lost my mind, but I always seem to find it. I love y'all! Without your believing in me, I wouldn't be where I am today.

And to all my many friends, both in real life and online, this site is for you. The emails I get with laughter and tears brings a joy to every day. What did we ever do before this age of modern technology?!
