Pazu
Pazu is also only 13 years old. He is an orphan living in the mining town of Slagg's Ravine. He works as traine of Mr. Daffi, a machine operator in one of the mines. Pazu lives alone in a house overlooking the valley. He plays the trumet and he's fond of pigeons. But flying is his consuming passion, just like his father. Pazu's dream is to build a flying machine that would take him to Laputa and prove that his fathther wasn't lying about its existence.

Dola and her Pirate Gang
The Dola gang is air pirate lead by Dola, who also happens to be the mother of 3 members of the gang (Shalulu, Lui, and Anli. The other 6 members of the gang are: Ka, Ki, Ku, Ke, Ko and machine operator Motro. Their pirate ship is the Tiger Moth, a propeller-driven helium-filled airship made mostly of cloth. Dola is a strong-willed woman, in contrast to her pirate sons, who never outgrow their adolescence. (It's once said that the character of Dola is similar to that of Miyazaki's mother) The Dola gang, like the army, is after the treasures of Laputa.

Mooska is the government's special secret agent sent to look for Laputa and its treasures. But he has a sinister hidden motive of his own, which not even his own agents know about. To fulfill his ambition for Laputa, he relies heavily on a notebook containing ancient writings about Laputa which was passed on to him by his ancestors.

Pirate airship of the Dola gang. Shaped like a bird. Helim filled for buoyancy, and powered by two maneuverable, reversible propellers. Each Propeller is located on the tip of the main wings. Plus four fixed rear propellers. With 42m in length, 20m in height and the wingspan nearly 54m, she can fly up to 133km/h. She can also fly as far as 3820km with cruise speed at 65km/h

Dragonfly-shaped 2-seater mini flyig machine invented by the husband of Dola. 4 thin insect-like wings powered by battery-activated artificial "muscles". Depending on the frequency of vibration of the wings, can ascend, hover or descend. Underneath the body there are two rocket jets for emergency acceleration. Her length is only 2.04m, and 1.22m in height. Wingspan is over 7.2m in order to fly up to 111km/h. With her jets, she can reach 182km/h. Flying under cruise speed, the range is 218m.

Its height is 3.44m and weight over 238kg. However, other information is unknown...
