The Relationship between the Anime and the Manga

Ranma 1/2 was first adapted into animation by a 1989 TV series. This series was followed by a second TV series, Ranma 1/2 Nettôhen (1989-1992) and by 3 movies and 11 OAVs (Original Animation Videos). A large percentage of the animated version of Ranma 1/2 is based directly on the manga.
