thought it was good but turned out to be a total let down. however i would like to applaud the writer for having a underlying theme from the very first to the very last episode, thus making each episode not a total stand alone in terms of viewing. showed the harsh realities of working life which is the truth.

This drama may not be one of the really good ones, but i thought it was a pretty seriously made drama during the 4th season of '98 (besides Nemuneru Mori). The dialogues were fast and speedy and the cast were really good, gave me a whole new impression on Tomosaka Rie.

At first I thought I was too old for this teenage dorama, under the strong insistance of my dorama friend I gave in and watched it, it surprisingly touched my "older" heart deeply and reminded me of my high school days, it was beautiflly produced and thoughts striking, I highly recommend it.

absolutely the best one that i have ever watched. although it would seem a bit old and outdated compared to the later and more modern shows, the story line is one of the best and yet the ending is really tear wrenching. both main characters brought out their characters especially honami suzuki. cannot say the same for the other female lead whose expression is always fixed to a few. however, it is definitely worth watching over and over again. even more so after the first time, one can really sympathise with rika.

good series. all-star cast definitely and each character is different and unique in their own. kudoes to the writer for giving each character a deep background and character. it was well written as there was an underlying theme running through from the first episode to the last.

Definitely worth hunting down. A big-name cast (retroactively) that comes through in a number of situations. A show not designed for the cynic at heart. You must allow yourself to become absorbed by the characters and then everything will fall in place (that is, you'll be bawling your eyes out at series' end). A great theme song which resurrected a great band.

i think the second series is much touching than the first because in the first series , the love and feeling in the Kashiwaki family is still very shallow . But , it seems that there are certain things which need more emphasis like the relationship between Miki and Kazuya . It seems like a rather incredible combination .

i watched the second series before i watched the first one. and i can safely say that it is definitely better than the first one. the second series focused on how each character developed in their own right, eventhough the second brother left the setting quite early. very heart-warming and touching series. cried almost every episode. the ending was a bit weird but i guess they did that to shock the viewers. the two series together brought another different genre to the stage of doramas.

A big-name cast can't save a disjointed script hampered by the departure (and subsequent return) of Fukuyama in mid-series. Incredibly, all the noteworthy faces return for a second go-around. One of the most puzzling series finales of all time. Some good moments recalling the purity of the first series but there is a bit too much sorrow the second time around.
