Practice of KATA is necessary for the value of physical training such as concentration of mind and balance, also for the training techniques imagining the opponent and body movement.
Kata produced out of training with protective padding shouldn't end as study.
It should become " WAZA " which is useful in a match.
By doing this, you can do Nippon Kempo which doesn't include only training with protective padding.
