NIPPON KEMPO'S JAPANESE BOXING

ASHI-SABAKI-WAZA
WORK FOOT TECHNIQUES

For offense, you must step in to the right place ( not too short and not too cross ) so that you can perform effective ATEMI-WAZA against the target.

For defence, you must step out to keep away opponent's attack, over step is not necessary and just a minimum movement is required to make the opponent's attacks swish the air.

To keep the balance and rhytm in the movements is very important at both ASHI-SABAKI.

And steps mean shuffle forward and backward and not jumping around.
