Fukui's Mark is actually Fukui written in Katakana (フクイ) - can you see it? I can't.

    Prefecture's Flower: Daffodil

ABOUT:

The one ken that I happen to live in is FUKUI! Fukui is really a nice place, although most people, even Japanese, don't know where it is. The capital city, Fukui City, is the largest with a population of about 250,000. (I guess that includes me at the present!)

CAPITAL: Fukui City

Despite the fact that most Japanese don't know where Fukui is, Fukui actually has quite a few interesting spots to visit. The newest actraction is the gigantic Dinasour park that is due to open soon. I will comment more on that later.
