Chapter 5 : Memory Lapse
Shoko had been in coma since the time she had been brought into the Intensive Care Ward. It had been about 30 hours and for every minute of it, Sakuragi was always beside her. Trying various method to wake her up. However, he failed to do so and tiredness had overpowered him. Soon, he went to a deep slumber... ...
"Beep.....! Beep.....! Beep...! Beep...! Beep..! Beep..! Beep..!.." The heart rate gradually increases showing that the patient had regained consciences.
Sendoh came by in the morning to visit Shoko and was overwhelmed to see that Shoko had finally revived her conscious. He immediately informed the doctors and woke the tired Sakuragi up from his sleep.
Shoko's eyes opened slowly and the first person she could recogonise was - SENDOH!
Upon seeing him, she was suddenly energised and wanted to move away from the bed but was stopped by the doctor and nurses were trying to examine her. She kind of remembered that Sendoh looked just like a person she knew of, in the past.... but just could not remember his name.
When she turned to look at Sakuragi, she began to move back. She had a guilty feeling about something and someone as she saw the red headed Sakuragi. She dare not look at Sakuragi straight in th eyes again.
No words need to explain this strange phenomena. Sakuragi had already guessed that his mother had been suffering some kind of memory lapse.
True enough, the doctor finally diagnosed that she is suffering from a mild memory lapse after 2 head concussion! And he instructed the both boys not to let Shoko suffer any excitement and try to help her recall her past.
After the doctor and nurses had left, Shoko held Sendoh's hands tightly between hers. A gesture showing that she will never let him go.
