Chapter 2
New allies
Part 1
The Vampire arrived in a dark antechamber. He looked quickly in the room behind the curtains, he sighed with relief; it was empty. Then, still wearing his last victim's body, a little girl of five years old who had been unlucky enough to pass in his sight while he was hungry.
"Did Mama never tell you never to speak to strangers?" he asked evilly to the little part of the soul of the little girl he hadn't eaten yet. It only cries. Kaim threw his head and started laughing in his own deep voice. The little girl's face made a vicious smile and the little body explode. The parts quickly turned into ashes as soon as they touched the floor. Now, a tall dark shadow was standing where the little girl had been before, holding in one hand, between his, fingers that had claw-like fingernails, a faint blue light. "Don't you think she is a little too young?" a deep feminine voice asked behind him. The Vampire quickly turned toward it. Another tall shadow, but smaller than him, was in the doorway. Kaim only shook his head. "You have an idea of how to use her?" This time, the Vampire nodded. "Am I late?" he asked. The Dark Angel shook her head; "No. Koenma is in the Ningenkai, so they have to be very careful." Kaim only lifts up an eyebrow and shrugged.
"So what's new about our enemies?" Angel asked.
"Koenma has asked a group of Rekai detectives to arrest us. Nothing important." answered her brother.
"Which group?"
"The YYH team. Why?" asked Kaim.
"Is it not this gang who had killed the Shiseiju?" his sister asked.
"Yes. Why?"
"Which one of them had killed Suzaku? Tell me!" only said Angel.
"Hey! Mystram, what's wrong? You're shaking!" noticed Kaim.
"Just tell me!" she answered. Kaim looked at her. His sister had this look in her eyes that he knew from their childhood; "tell-me-or-you-will-regret-it". He answered calmly: "Urameshi Yusuke."
"What does he look like?" she asked, a little urgently. Kaim gave her a side look, took a deep breath and started making an illusion of a young man, fourteen or fifteen years old, with rebel short black hair and brown eyes. He also had an arrogant look on his face. "Is he powerful?" Mystram asked.
"Not bad. He's Genkai's disciple. He uses the Rei gun as weapon." answered Kaim.
"Tell the others that it will be ME and ONLY ME who will kill him."
"He uses the Rei gun, remember?"
"I will find a way." she answered with a definite tone in her voice.
The Vampire nodded. "And for the girl's soul?" he asked. She threw a little crystal bottle at him; "Put it into this and leave it on my desk.
I will take care of it before the meeting." she answered, still looking at Urameshi's image. Her brother nodded and left the room. Mystram fixed the image of the boy and swore: "Urameshi Yusuke, from this instant, consider yourself dead!" and disappeared too.
"ONE OF THEM HAD KISSED THE SHRIMP!!!" said Kuwabara with a totally disgusted look. "Some girls really do have bad taste: kissing an ugly little thing like him while they could have kissed a beauty like me!" he continued.
"That's a matter of opinion!" grumbled Hiei.
"Did you say something?!" asked Kuwabara, starting getting angry. Hiei didn't answer but gave one of his famous looks
"You-gonna-die-soon-and-you-will-suffer" to Kurama. This one only smiled innocently at him and went back to his book as if nothing had happen. "Man! The poor girl must be dead by now!" said Kuwabara.
"Yes I would be if I had kissed you!" said a voice behind them.
Everyone jumped and turned toward it. A girl, as tall as Hiei, with raven hair and big green eyes, was leaning against the wall. Most part of her face was covered with a silver mask with curious curves painted on it. Arms folded across her chest, she was looking at them as if there was nothing wrong or weird in the fact that she was there.
"Wha..." only said a bubble-eyed Kuwabara.
"Because you see, if I wanted to kiss a monkey, I would have gone to a zoo instead of coming here." she said calmly.
"I gonna kill you!" Kuwabara said, throwing himself in her direction. At the moment he was going to punch her, his fist met the wall and made some cracks in it. "WHERE IS SHE?!!" he shouted, pressing his hurt hand in the other.
"There is no need for shouting! I'm still here!" said the girl from the other side of the room. "Phoenix?" a brown-haired girl asked, appearing suddenly beside the other. "Coming!" said Phoenix, and turning toward the four guys: "See ya later!" And disappeared with the other into the next room.
"What took you so long?" asked Celest as they entered the room where Koenma, Botan, Mokaram and Medusa were waiting. "I had some business to discuss with a version of Godzilla." said Phoenix, calmly.
"Finally a girl who got a head on her shoulders." they heard Yusuke said and they giggled.
"Me, a Godzilla's version!!!" shouted Kuwabara. "Take a good look at you first! Because if I'm a version of Godzilla, you're a version of the alien in "Independence Day"!" he continued.
"No I'm not!" shouted Yusuke.
"Are too!" shouted Kuwabara. And the two of them started fighting.
Hiei and Kurama looked at each other and disappeared in direction of the room, where the Amazons had enter, while the two other were fighting.
Meanwhile, in the room, the four girls were facing Koenma, in his grown form. "All right. What do you want?" he asked.
"First of all, to know if you haven't lost your head." said Demon, very calmly.
"Why do you think that?" asked Koenma, scratching his head.
"You asked men to help us." pointed calmly Phoenix, leaning against the wall, arms folded, as usual.
"So, what's wrong with that?" asked innocently Botan. And, as the four pair of stone eyes looking at her; "OK, I get the point." she said.
"So... What's the reason to think that we need help?" asked the Wizard. Koenma looked at her. "She must be the soft one of the group." he thought. "Ask Botan, she was the one who came with the idea." he said. The four Amazons turned toward the guide.
"What's happen?" asked Kurama, ear stuck on the door.
"I dunno, I cannot hear them very well." said Yusuke, from under Kurama.
"It's because the idiot is breathing to heavily." said Hiei from under Yusuke.
"No I'm not!" nearly shouted the orange-haired boy from over Kurama.
"Shut up you two! They will hear us!" said Kurama.
"Hey, Phoenix, what's wrong?" whispered Celest. Her friend didn't answer, but sent telepathically what she was able to see to her friends.
"Keep acting normally!" whispered Medusa, containing herself from laughing.
"What's up?" asked Botan, whispering too. And Medusa explained what the guys were doing behind the door, while Phoenix, Wizard and Koenma were trying to maintain the conversation, without laughing.
"Did they kill each other or what!!! We don't hear anything!" said Kuwabara, still over Kurama.
"Shut up! They will hear us!" said Yusuke. After a few minutes, "This is ridiculous!!!" whispered Hiei, trying to get out of the curious pyramid they made. 'Yusuke, you will have to lost some weight!' he thought.
"It will be easier if you were using your Jagan!" said Kuwabara.
"I already told you that I can't! Someone or something is blocking the way!" muttered Hiei, angrily, still struggling.
'Poor thing!' thought Phoenix, coming beside the door. When she was there, she looked questioningly at the others. Celest looked at Koenma and he nodded to Mokaram. "WE WON'T AGREE WITH THAT!!!" shouted Demon, slamming her fist on the coffee table.
"YOU WILL DO WHAT I TOLD YOU TO!" shouted Koenma. "I'M THE ONE WHO'S IN CHARGE OF THE REKAI AND THE ONE WHO TAKE CARE OF THE NINGENKAI!!!"
"And?" asked Medusa with a scornful tone.
"AND YOU WILL HAVE TO PLAY WITH MY RULES!!!" shouted Koenma.
"Hey! Something is going on!" said Yusuke. And the four guys leaned forward to hear better. "Tell that to the Vampire!" a girl was shouting.
"This is none of your concern!" shouted Koenma in answer.
"Concern my foot! WE will get rid of the Vampire! And WE are going to do it NOW!!!" shouted the girl, again. As the guys leaned forward a little more, the door opened suddenly and the group felt in the doorway. Hiei was fast back on his feet. So fast that it didn't seem that he had felt too. With his sword in his hand, he looked ready to kill everyone. Kurama was second back on his feet, soon after Hiei. As he looked to the five persons, laughing at them, "Where is the masked girl?" he whispered to Hiei. The boy shrugged. Both of them turned towards the door as they heard strangled laughter behind it.
Holding her side with her left hand and the right one in front of her hidden mouth, the sixth girl was trying so hard to control her laugh that tears were rolling down from her eyes to her silver cheeks.
"That's what I call "Make an entrance"!" said a tall red-haired girl. And the five girls started laughing again. Koenma vainly tried to recompose himself, giggled when he saw Kuwabara and Yusuke struggling with each other to get back on their feet. "Now I know why they are going to help us!" said a dark blue-haired girl.
"Cheer us up, when we are down!" finished a dark brown-haired one. And the five girls burst out laughing.
Kurama looked at Hiei. The little fire youkai was totally flaming with anger and Kurama was sure that Hiei wouldn't have hesitate one moment to fry the whole group. The red-haired boy smiled slightly and put a hand on his friend shoulders. Hiei took a deep breath and shook the hand away. Then he put his sword back to its place and his hands in his pockets, waiting for the following.
By the time Yusuke and Kuwabara were back on their feet, the group had time to calm down and was waiting too. * That's supposed to be the cavalry? * Hiei heard one of the girls' thoughts.
* Very disappointing aren't they? * answered another.
* We must be dammed. * he heard another one.
* Well, at least half of them are cute! * it was the masked girl, he was sure.
* I'm agreeing with that! * said the brown-haired one.
* Oh, shut up! * he told them. The brown-haired girl only looked at him without any expression and the black-haired one left an amused eyebrow. Hiei angrily looked away, frustrated that someone can get so easily under his skin. * See, told you that he would blush! * the raven-haired girl said.
* I lost my bet again! * mentally grumbled the red-haired one.
" I will be outside!" Hiei said brusquely and quickly left. Kuwabara and Yusuke looked at each other. "What's the problem with him?" Kuwabara asked.
"Dunno." said Yusuke. Then he looked at Kurama. The red-haired boy shook his head and pointed in the direction of the Amazons. The black-haired boy looked at them, questioningly, but they didn't seem to notice it. "Err... I think it is time for presentations since you are going to work together." said Koenma.
"Wha... " said in the same time, Urameshi and Kuwabara, both bubble-eyed.
* I just love the faces humans are able to create, you know. * said Demon to Medusa.
* I think its part of their charm. * the blue-haired girl answered. Kurama looked at his two friends. Since they looked still in shock after what Koenma said, he decided to start. "My name is Kurama." he said. "And I'm able to turn any plants into a weapon."
"I'm Urameshi Yusuke and I can use the Rei Gun and Shot Gun as weapons."
'That's interesting.' thought Demon.
"I'm Kuwabara Kazuma and my weapon is a Rei Sword." He looked really proud of it. "Don't you be worry about Hiei, that's the guy who'd left a minute ago, he's always like that." he said.
"Oh?" asked the brown-haired girl.
"Yeah! I think it must be common to all Fire Youkai."
"Really?" said the black-haired girl. "I'm known as Phoenix and I'm a Fire Youkai." Kuwabara's mouth dropped wide open.
"My name is Star Wizard, but you can call me Wizard, and I can control the elements of the sky." Kurama looked at her. She had dark brown hair that was waving naturally around her shoulders and big lovely green eyes with a bit of blue. 'I wonder if she is the one who kissed me last night.'
"I'm Medusa." another girl said. "And I'm a MindReader and a Water Youkai." This one had big light purple eyes and very long dark blue hair, brought up into a high ponytail. Still, her hair reached the end of her back. "I am known as Demon of Death, Demon to be short." said the last girl. She was a tall girl, as tall as Kuwabara, with dark red hair, the same colour as blood, brought up into two braids, one hiding her right eye, red too. "I'm a Earth Demon and able to use the concentration of the destructive waves." Kurama was impressed; they were powerful. He also understood better why Koenma was scared of them. But, something wasn't quite right; they were hiding something. 'Why are they not giving their names?' he asked himself. 'That going to be a problem to work on.'
Part 2
"I still don't understand why we have to move into no man's land!" said Phoenix, while helping Kurama to move a bed in one of the room of the temple. "It is easier for us to help you." answered Kurama.
"Yeah! And leave the whole Tokyo to the Vampire's appetite!" Phoenix groaned, half concentrate on moving the bed. Kurama looked at her; "Can I ask you a question?"
"Depend which one." came the half-grumbled answer.
"Are you a real Amazon?"
"Why are you asking that?"
"Just want to know."
"The answer is yes."
"Is it true that must part of the Amazons are results of a mix of two demons?"
"Most part of us, yeah."
"Are you?"
"Yep! Mix of a SpellSinger and a Fire Youkai." They had arrived in the room. "What is your real name?" he asked brusquely.
"That's none of your business old fox!" was the answer. Kurama looked at her and thought: 'She must have steel nerves! She even not reacted to the question.' When they'd finished place the bed, Medusa appears in the doorway. "Phoenix, do you think you will be able to have a practice with me, when you'd finished?" she asked.
"Do you still need me?" Phoenix asked to Kurama. This one shook his head; "I will ask another if I need help."
"Cheers Gorgeous!" said the black-haired girl before disappearing, with Medusa, into another dimension. 'Now, I will have to try to have some information with Demon or maybe Wizard.' And he disappears, looking for the girls.
Hiei was on the roof, watching the practice between the girl named Phoenix and the one called Medusa. It'd been two days since the Amazons had moved into the temple. Everyone seems happy about it, except him. And maybe Phoenix. 'Not again!' he thought. Curiously, he kept thinking of her. 'What's happening to me?' Hiei sighed. 'I better find something to do!' He looked at the fight, whip against sword. Sword seems to be winning. Even if he hated to admit it, Phoenix looked to be a good swordsman. 'No, swordswoman.' he corrected mentally. He continued to look at the fight. 'Maybe she would like to practice with me.'
"Now Demon, you will have to explain me what's happened 200 year ago!" said Kurama, following the tall girl.
"What do you means? I'd told you that it was only a temporary teamwork. So what's the problem?" she asked, turning towards him.
"The problem is that you left me without telling me anything!" Demon sighed; Kurama had this stubborn look in his eyes, a look she knew to well. "There were trouble in the village and I'd been requested by the Elders. I didn't have time to explain you everything to you. And anyway, you were sleeping! I certainly wouldn't have wake you up just for that!" she said angrily, going into the room she was sharing with Medusa. Kurama kept staring at her while she was removing the things from the box she carried. "It didn't came to your mind that I could have been worried about you?" he said, standing in the doorway.
"You? The Legendary Yohko Kurama? Been worried about me? You're kidding?" she said, quickly turning towards him, her hands on her hips.
Kurama shook his head. "Why?" Demon asked.
"Ouch!" said Medusa, falling on the ground again. "I think I will never learn how to block this move!" she grumbled. She looked up; Phoenix was waiting for her, in defence position. "I think I will stop now. My behind tell me it's enough for today!" she said.
"Now? But we have just started!" said Phoenix.
"Phoenix, it'd been more than an hour and a half that we're fighting!" moaned Medusa, painfully coming back on her feet.
"Oh yeah?! Man, time really past quickly when you have fun!" said her friend. Medusa looked at her. Phoenix had removed her silver mask that allows her to read into her enemies' thoughts and her Lagan was closed. For some reasons, she totally refused to use it since they had arrived in the Ningenkai. Her mask was enough powerful to find the Vampire. So she says. Medusa shook her head: "You're impossible!" Phoenix gave her one of her big smile; "I take that as a compliment!" Medusa looked up: "It wasn't, LOOK OUT!!!" she shouted, pointing behind Phoenix's back. This one react quickly, putting her mask back on again and turning on her heels towards the attack. Metallic sounds were heard when she blocked her opponent's blow.
Kurama was sitting down on Medusa's bed. "Why?" asked Demon, again. The red-haired boy looked at her. "I wanted to know where my best conversation's partner was." he answered. Demon smiled slightly and put a friendly hand on Kurama's shoulder. "I missed you too old fox. But only as a friend, I know you're not for me." Kurama looked at her but, to Demon's surprise, there wasn't any sadness in his eyes. Only relief and, maybe, a little disappointment. "I came to the same conclusion after a 150 year." he said.
"A 150 YEARS!!! You're not exaggerate a little?"
"You know how yohko are; need a lot of thinking."
"By the way, what was the subject we were debating on before I left?"
"The end of the world."
"Oh yes! It's true! Still interested? I got some new arguments."
"Sure! After dinner?"
"After dinner!" And they hugged each other as old friends they were.
"Get out of this kitchen!" shouted Wizard, pushing Yusuke out of the room.
"But I have to taste to see if it's good!" he said, starting coming back into the kitchen. Wizard was blocking the doorway and threatening him with a wooden spoon. "You will taste it when it going to be in your plate, at dinner's time and not before!" she said without moving. The two were facing each other. It'd been like this since after lunch.
"Hey! Come outside! Something is going on!" shouted Kuwabara, breaking the tension. Wizard quickly locked the door with some waves of Air and followed the tall boy. When Yusuke understood that he wasn't going to enter the kitchen, even if he burst the door with his Rei Gun, he followed his friend.
Hiei and Phoenix were facing each other. "Wanna fight?" he asked.
"A challenge?" was the answer. Hiei nodded. "We are going to need some judges." The boy nodded again. Then, both of them put their swords back in their places. "You don't mind?" Phoenix asked to Medusa.
"Don't worry about me!" she pointed towards the balcony where the rest of the people were. "We are going to be the judges." And she started walking towards the rest of the group. "What's going on?" asked Kurama as Medusa sat down on the stairs.
"Hiei had challenged Phoenix." she answered.
"Great!" said Kuwabara.
"Is he good?" Wizard asked to Kurama.
"The best I know."
"Two rules." said Phoenix to Hiei.
"Which one?" he asked.
"First of all, we fight in slow motion." Hiei grimaced. "They have to be able to see us." Phoenix explained. He nodded; "I don't really have choice. What is the second."
"Second one, no cheating. You're not using your third eye and," removing her mask, "I'm not using my mask. OK?" Hiei nodded again. 'She should have kept her mask on.' he moaned mentally.
"Don't forget the special rule!" shouted Wizard. Phoenix nodded. "What special rule?" asked Hiei.
"Keep your T-shirt on!" Hiei looked at her, puzzled. "It going to deconcentrate me if you remove it." she said. Hiei looked at her, really surprise. "You're... You're joking, right?" he managed to say. Phoenix flashed a wide grin at him; "It is for me to know and for you to find out." And she drew her sword out and waited for him. The boy stopped asking questions and they started to fight.
"Do you know who's winning?" asked Medusa, looking at the cloud where Hiei and Phoenix were fighting. "I think they are too fast for my eyes to see." said Demon.
"They were supposed to fight in slow motion!" grumbled Kuwabara.
"They ARE in slow motion!" said Wizard.
"How do you know that?" Yusuke asked.
"Because if Phoenix wasn't, the fight will already be over!" she answered.
"Not if she's fighting Hiei." said Kurama calmly. Wizard shook her shoulders; "Anyway, I got the dinner to finish. Without YOU!" she said, pointing Yusuke.
"Need some help?" asked Kurama. 'It will be a way to collect some information.'
"Just keep him out of the kitchen!" she said, before entering the temple.
"I need a bath!" said Medusa, getting up from where she was sitting. Finally, the balcony was empty.
"Giving up?" asked Hiei.
"Me?! You're kidding?! I'm just warm up!" answered Phoenix. And the fight continued. After a few minutes. "Hey! Where is everybody?" asked Phoenix, keeping the fight.
"Dunno! Don't care!" said Hiei, still fighting too.
"ALRIGHT!!! Forget the first rule! FULL SPEED!!!" she shouted, starting moving faster.
'Finally someone to fight with.' thought Hiei, starting moving faster too.
'Not bad. Not bad at all!' thought Phoenix. 'It's a shame that we don't have our land anymore; he would have been great in the army.' After a moment both of them stopped, facing each other. "Wanna stop?" the girl asked. Hiei shook his head and attacked again. The fight continued until sunset. Then, "Phoenix! Hiei! Dinner!!!" they heard Yusuke shouted. Hiei snorted; he wasn't interested. However, his opponent had other idea on the subject; "Great! Food!!!" she said.
"Not 'til one of us had won this fight!" he shouted, still fighting, in answer at Yusuke.
"Hurry up then! Dinner will have cooled down!" his friend shouted and disappeared in the temple. Phoenix looked at Hiei, than at the temple, than back at Hiei. "Can I say my opinion in this fight?" she asked. Hiei shook his head. 'I never been exceco in my whole life. It won't start today and especially against HER!'
*There's a start to everything, honey!* she told him. Hiei's eyes widen in surprise. 'How could she possibly hear my thoughts?' But the girl said nothing; she'd already shown too much. After a few minutes of fighting, *I'm hungry!* said Phoenix.
*And I don't care!* he answered. Phoenix rolled her eyes to the sky;
*You're stubborn!* And suddenly, she grabbed his wrist and projected him over her hip. Hiei felt hard on the ground, his sword a few paces away from his hand. When he started getting up, her sword pointed on his throat stopped him. He looked at her; cold green-eyed stones were watching him, her foot over his right wrist so he cannot take his sword. It was as if another person was standing there. A hard, cold heart enemy, ready to kill him whenever he moved. "I won." she said flatly. A long minute passed like this. Finally, it was Demon who broke the tension; "PHOENIX! HIEI!!! MOVE YOUR BUTTS OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!!! DINNER SERVED!" Phoenix jumped. Then, she looked down at him, shocked. Without a word she removed her sword from his throat, took her mask and disappeared towards the temple. 'I was going to kill him!' he heard her thought. Hiei sat down, then get up, put his sword back at its place and disappeared too, in the same direction of Phoenix.
Wizard caught her friend in the bathroom, while Phoenix was washing her hands. The little youkai had put her silver mask back on her face.
"You're ok?" Celest asked. Sorcha jumped and quickly turned towards the voice, hand on her sword's hilt and murder in her eyes. Then, when she recognised her friend, her eyes filled up with a mix of shock and sadness. None of them had noticed the curious shadow at the window.
"Sorchania! What's happened?" Her friend asked, quickly coming towards her.
'Sorchania?' Hiei leaned forward on his branch and saw the girl named Wizard seized Phoenix's shoulders and shook her a little. "I was ready to kill him!" Phoenix's voice filled with shock. "I was certain it was Kaim! And I was ready to kill him once and for all!" she continued. Celest hugged her friend. She understood perfectly what Sorcha meant. Both of them had suffered greatly when Kaim and Mystram had attacked her kingdom, changing them forever. "Oh, come on! Hiei wasn't that bad!" Celest said, trying to change the subject. It works, Sorcha burst out laughing. "So? Are you coming?" Wizard asked.
"Let me time to wash my hands and I come." Phoenix answered. Satisfied, Wizard gets back to the dinning room.
Part 3
The woman gathered stiffly her cloak around her. The air was chilled in this chamber. She started walking from the window to the door and from the door to the window. Nervously, she pushed behind her ear, one dark green lock of hair, which had escaped from the twisted knot. The Dark Angel had summoned her a week ago and since then, she had been locked in this room. 'It is not in her habits to let me here so long.' The woman sighed and looked through the window. Her dark blue eyes scanned the old remains of an Imperial Garden, which was still standing, even so long after the destruction. Old remembrances of the Mystic. She turned away from the window, even if this race had been destroyed 200 years ago, she still felt their power running throughout the kingdom. The Dark Angel and the Vampire had tried to conquer it but it was useless: only a Mystic could summon this strange power. 'Why am I thinking of that? They had been destroyed by their own foolishness!' She grumbled to herself. Suddenly, the door opened. The woman quickly turned towards it. The Vampire, in his own body, was standing in the doorway. "Lady Arachnia?" he asked. The woman nodded. "How nice to see you again." he said with a smile that didn't reach his eyes.
"The pleasure is mine." she said, her voice like a whisper. The Vampire, with a flick of his wrist, let her get out of the room. "Angel wants to speak to you." he only said. And they started walking towards the old throne's room. During their walk, Arachnia looked slightly at the handsome tall youkai beside her. His long silver hair had been brought up into a ponytail that reached mid-back. They were walking quickly, the lady gave him a quick side look to find out what was going to happen to her, but the cold black stones eyes didn't tell her anything. Finally, they reached the throne's room.
It was a huge room. From the doorway where she was standing, Arachnia was able to see the great silvery star, old symbol of the Mystic. The woman shivered; the remain of their power was more concentrate and powerful in this room than any other places. At the light push of the Vampire, she strode quickly across the room and knelt in front of the Dark Angel. This one stand up from the throne she was sitting on and came in front of the kneeling woman. "Lady Arachnia, why are you came here?" she asked in a deep voice.
"I came as you requested, Great Mistress." was the answer.
"Who are you serving, Arachnia?"
"My loyalty go to You and to Your Brother. Great Mistress."
"What is your duty?"
"To serve and to obey the Dark Angel and the Vampire, without asking any questions. Great Mistress." Angel smiled slightly and put her hand on Arachnia's bowing head; "You may stand up." she said. And the woman stood up. Then, the Dark Angel motioned to go sitting on one of the chairs, placed beside the throne.
As she sat down, the door opened, this time, on an old youkai. As Arachnia looked at him, she recognised Lord Pain, another ruler. He had short dark gray hair and red eyes that had a look constantly amused, as he was enjoying at some personal joke. The man passed through the same questions as Arachnia did before him. Then, when it was finish, he came sat down beside her. *Do you know why we are here?* he asked. She shook her head. The door opened again, this time on another woman, with short silvery white hair and arrogant dark purple eyes. *Lady Tempest.* she said. The man beside her nodded; *Lord Acid must be the next one* And, as to prove him right, as soon as Tempest had finished answering the questions and had sat down beside Pain, the door opened on Lord Acid, followed by the Vampire. He was as tall as Tempest, with spiky dark red hair and big brown eyes. *Fire Youkai.* said Tempest, scornfully.
* One of the most powerful.* said Pain.
* Greatest enemy of Reih.* finished Arachnia. 'Why does she want all here?' she thought. 'The last time was for to conquer the White Silver Realm.' When Lord Acid finished answering the question and took his place beside Tempest, the Dark Angel told them what she wanted from them.
At Genkai's temple, Phoenix was helping Wizard with the dishes. Demon and Medusa had returned to Tokyo, fetch some stuff they, supposedly, forgot. The lie seemed having worked on the guys. Celest still thought that it was risky to separate, but they had to know if everything was all right, while they were away. "I still think that it wasn't a good idea!" said Wizard.
"You know that we didn't had choice!" said Phoenix, her Lagan open on her forehead. Soon after the dinner, both of them had escape in the kitchen so they could talk without any disruptions. With her Lagan, Sorchania had placed wards so Hiei wouldn't be able to hear or see anything. And Celest had used hers to block any sounds going out of the kitchen. It was like another dimension. "Anyway," Sorcha continued, "they going to be more useful they're than here."
"I know." sighed Celest. "It just that I have a bad feeling about this; we won't be able to keep our secret very long." Sorcha looked at her.
"If they learned it, we are in big trouble." she said.
"I know, but I don't want to kill them!" said Celest.
"I don't either! There are only a few cutes guys in this world! I don't want to start killing some of them!" said Sorcha, her mask hiding her smile. Celest smiled slightly, sometimes her friend looked like the one she was before the attack; turning stupid guys into vegetables and cute ones, into meat quarter. "By the way, have you noticed something about Hiei?" Celest asked.
"Beside that he's cute, stubborn, bad tempered, arrogant and had one of it's body, no." said Sorcha. Her friend rolled her eyes to the ceiling;
"You had time to see all of this while you were fighting?"
"Of course! It's the better time to look at him." Sorchania said, very seriously. "But without jokes, he really looks like Htaed. And also fights pretty much like him." she continued.
"So, you've noticed too."
"Hard to not to!" Celest seemed thoughtful for a moment. "It is not because all Fire Youkai look the same, is it?" she asked.
"If you say that I look like Reih, you can find yourself another body guard, Wizard!" said Sorcha, angrily. Celest smiled; 'It will be something to work on.'
Kurama was getting ready to go to bed, when his window opened suddenly. "What is it Hiei?" he asked turning towards his friend.
"Maybe." answered the little black-haired guy. "Is the name "Kaim" tell you something?" asked Hiei. Kurama seemed surprise; "It supposed to be the real name of the Vampire. Some say that saying his name bring his attention on you."
"And the one "Sorchania"?" Kurama looked at his friend, eyes wide;
"Where do you heard this one?" he asked.
"Just answer the question." the answer was. Kurama sat down on his bed and passed his hand through his long red hair. Maybe Hiei had find something important about the group. "It was the name of the bodyguard of one of the Mystic princess." he answered.
"Mystic?"
"It was one of the most powerful kingdom in the Makai. It was also a peaceful realm. The Mystic, owners of the Silvery White Realm, had strange powers and was allies with a lot of tribes of the Makai: fire youkai, Amazons, ice maiden, etc..." Kurama sighed: "It also been taken by the Vampire and his sister."
"When did that happen?" Hiei asked.
"200 years ago." Kurama looked at his friend, understanding what Hiei was meaning. "You don't think that the Star Wizard could be a Mystic, are you?" Hiei's look was cryptic. "Might be." And he turned towards the window. "Hiei!" shouted Kurama before his friend had time to disappear,
"If it is true that Wizard is the princess Celest, the last Mystic, and Phoenix, Sorchania, you have to be careful. Sorchania is supposed to be as powerful as you are and Celest even more." Hiei said nothing and disappeared in a black wind.
