Yusuke's friend/classmate/rival, another main
character, 14 years old in the beginning. He's not the smartest guy you'll ever meet but
he's very nice. He constantly tries to beat up Yusuke but he never succeeds. Still, unlike
Yusuke, he has more than one friend, in fact, he's admired by his friends for his loyalty
and decency (he also has a thing for cats, hence the title pict above). He even rescued
his friends from the water monsters when fighting with Sensui. His power is in healing; he
also uses a Rei-ken which is a sword made of his reiki. His friendship with Yusuke grows
as the story progresses. He is also madly in love with Yukina and is probably the only one
who doesn't know that she's actually Hiei's twin sister (even Yukina seems to have a bit
of a clue). That's pretty strange for someone who's has strong psychic
powers. At the end of the story, he actually goes to college (he's not that stupid, you see) and the only one of the four main characters who didn't get invited to go to Makkai. He's a good friend with Kurama, and Yusuke, but he doesn't seem to get along very well with Hiei. Kuwabara provides most of the comic relief in this story.
