who kills most of the enemies. At the beginning, he's 14 and pretty much a juvenile
delinquent who gets into fights, smokes, and doesn't care about much. Then, he dies in a
car accident from rescuing a little kid but since he died earlier than he was supposed to,
the person in charge (Koenma) decides to give him another chance and he was in a coma
instead. He is given the choice to either wake up and become a Reikai Investigator or
never wake up. At first, Yusuke wanted to never wake up cuz he thought there was no point
to living but when he sees his mother crying, his childhood friend (Keiko) upset, and even
his classmate (Kuwabara) get mad, he changes his mind. That's how the adventure starts. After that, he trains with Genkai learns a lot and becomes a very good fighter. He also makes lots of friends along the way, even aloof Hiei became his friend. Close to the end of the cartoon, he learns that he's actually of youkai descendent and goes to Makkai to learn more about his past. His ancestor was actually an S-class youkai (the highest class). After losing in the Makkai tournament, he decides to return to Ningenkai and live a normal life and probably marry Keiko (at least that's what happens in most fanfics). J Yusuke may seem to be stupid, and only cares about fighting but actually he's a very nice guy who will protect all the people he loves. In my opinion, he's a really caring guy. Oh, also, he was given an egg when he was brought back to life and if he had a bad soul then the thing that hatched from the egg would eat him up. If he didn't have a bad soul then it wouldn't eat him. In the end, a cute little blue bird that flies with its ears hatches, and hangs around with Yusuke constantly (but when it doesn't, Keiko baby-sits it). When Yusuke's youkai blood awakens, the cute little bird becomes a giant bird (more like a phoenix) that's as big as Genkai's room. Seiyuu: Sasaki Nozomu |
