Well,
I guess you want to know a little bit about me...otherwise you probably
never would have clicked on ths link :}
My name is Eric,
I'm 29, and I live here in New Orleans, Louisiana.
I'm a graduate of the University of
New Orleans, where I majored in English. I sorta minored in Asian
Studies, and I took three years of Japanese...I love it and all
languages, I speak a little German and Spanish too...But, IMNSHO, Japanese
is the easiest one by far to speak that I've attempted...Writing
it, however, is another matter entirely...hiragana I can handle...kanji,
I can handle...I just think of them as little paintings...I just don't
like katakana...it's too angular...reminds me of Geometry
and Algebra...and I despise math...If you have no idea what I'm talking
about, come back another time and I'll try to add some of each to the page
to give you a general idea...
As you may have guessed, I've been an anime nut for as long as I can remember, ditto for videogames...I even remember when the Atari/TeleGames and the C64 were considered hot systems...I play Samurai Shodown 1,2, & 64, Gem Fighter/Pocket Fighter and the Darkstalkers games, but I absolutely stink at other fighting games...give me a nice, long, drawn-out strategy game like Ogre Battle or just about anything from Koei if you want me to stick around...better yet, a good RPG...like any of the Phantasy Star, Lunar, or Final Fantasy series games...[except maybe FF: MQ]...
I'm also a singer...a
baritone...My dad used to sing in the opera down here, and it was he who
got me interested in music in the first place...I used to play the piano
and flute, too...but not since I was 9...so I may be a weeee bit rusty...So
now I sing; I even made All-State in high school...
Oh yeah...koketsu is Japanese for "the
Tiger's Den"...used metaphorically, it can also mean "a dangerous place"...I
was born in the Year of the Tiger, Tora-Doshii, 1974...the next
Year of the Tiger will be 1998...I like cats, especially tigers...[hmm...I
wonder why that could be? lol]...So that's why I called my website "Koketsu"...
