PC ENGINE MUSEUM ENTRANCE!!!!!!!

I LOVE PC ENGINE!

This area is dedicated to one of the best game systems ever, the PC Engine or Turbografx 16. Although it is still under construction, it is currently quite viewable. Stay tuned for more downloads, trivia, and remodeling!
The PC Engine was the first platform system to use CD roms as a storage medium. At first the system had a 64k cache for the CD games, but later with the introduction of Super CD Rom had 256k cache, which allowed for better animation in the cut scenes. Much of the music was CD quality and human speech was plentiful, thanks to the use of regular audio tracks. This gave it an edge over it's rivals, but in the U.S. precious few good games were brought to light. The vast majority of PC Engine treasures remained in Japan . . .

128k Memory Base
This backup ram expansion could hold more pages of PC Engine memory than you'd ever need! It was powered by six AA batteries for a good month. It plugged into the controller port, and so it was perfectly possible to use it on an American Duo. A program was necessary to access the database, and it only came on certain discs such as Emerald Dragon.
Mouse
Yes, the PC Engine had a mouse!
Arcade Card
The Arcade Card was a 16 Megabit of Dram expansion for the Duo that could be placed in the card slot. This brought incredible cinemas and so forth to games designed for it. There were even surprisingly faithful conversions of Neo Geo games to Arcade Card.
