Panda (Encyclopedia.com) grows only in the province of Sichuan, the central part of China. The population of Panda in China is now less than 4,000. They are purely vegetarian and the greatest bamboo (Encyclopedia.com) lovers! 

They have beautiful brown eyes with black oblong-shaped patches of fur behind them. 

The remainder of their body is all white except for black round ears, black upside down pyramid-shaped nose, black legs 
and a black band of fur that meets at their shoulders. They have very thick, dense fur that is slightly oily to protect them from the rain and the cold. 

A full grown panda can weigh as much as 300 pounds and will 
measure between 5 and 6 feet. Males usually weigh more than 
females.  

Although, pandas will occasionally feed on crocus (Encyclopedia.com) , iris (Encyclopedia.com) , small bamboo rats, birds and will invade a farmer's cornfield or behive. Pandas also have a sweet tooth. The leaves and tender stems of bamboo are a pandas favorite part to eat. 

Pandas usually spends about twelve to fourteen hours a day eating.  Their favorite eating positon is either lying on their back or side, or sitting in a relaxed slouch.
