Not the villain any longer. >>>>>>> A year after peace has been restored and the Earth is saved from destruction, Marie Maia Krushneda kidnaps vice foreign minister Rilina Dorian/Darlian. Her mission is to restore what her father, Treize Krushneda, intended to happen for the world. A young girl, under the explicit guidance of Dekim Barton, wishes to instill the domination ideaology of Treize. She has with her, a huge weapon, and Rilina Darlian. It seems, she will succeed.

At this time, the Gundam Pilots are once again needed to save the Earth. And Lady Ann/Une is surprised to have a visitor.

Wind >>>>>> This is what the visitor called himself a year after helping his enemy, Hiiro Yuy to abort the plans in destroying Earth. He is part of the Preventer group and this time, Zechs's political ideaologies do not clash with his close friend Noin, nor with Gundam Wing pilot Hiiro.

Preventer agent Wind, Zechs Merquise, stood in the way of Dekim Barton's invasionary assault while on Earth. Piloting his upgraded Gundam, now Tallgeese III, he tried to go into space and destroy MO-III, an asteroid that threatened the Earth. The enemy Gundams watched as the powerful Lightning Baron tried to stop the threat. He was unsuccessful there, however.

Marie Maia moved Rilina to a heavily guarded, and heavily layered fortress where outside, numerous Gundams gathered to protect it. It also has a huge protective barrier that no matter how much gunfire and laser, the Gundams cannot penetrate it.

I am the Wind>>>>> Zechs, Noin and Sally Po engage in a battle with the heavy mechs. Despite the upgraded Tallgeese III's power, the two Gundams were heavily damaged by the enemies. Zechs was successful as usual many times but they were outnumbered. Duo, Trowa and Quatre's Gundams appear as reinforcements but the enemies still outnumber them.

This is the last time we see Zechs in action. It is Hiiro's story mostly. And the final phase is his.

Success>>>>>>>"Stop!" Marie Maia guiltily cries out, after Hiiro's second attempt at the barrier. "You will not succeed!" Hiiro's upgraded Wing Zero is damaged, but it is the last hope. "I will try," Hiiro says angrily. And his last shot destroys the barrier, letting the Gundams in the fortress and Marie Maia's surrender.

Together with Noin>>>>>>At last, we see Zechs and Noin together. Nothing really romantic, but maybe we can surmise. After the success, Zechs and Noin fly together to join the Preventer group. Their last conversation gives the final say to Noin. (It's really funny! he he!)

I have seen this OAV a long time ago, but I didn't choose to update this section (which is really the last one), since I found the story really dull. Granting, it does have some background story on characters I like, like Trowa, and a prequel and sequel at the same time... but the part about Marie Maia as a villain just didn't seem good to my taste. I didn't like her as a villain.

In the series, we see a clash in the ideaologies of Zechs, Treize, Rilina and the Gundam pilots. There are a lot of counterarguments and counter-counterarguments. Very complex. But Marie Maia is simply misguided. I wonder why she survived too long.

Also, even as I see Zechs and Noin to the end, there is very little of Zechs here! In the series, he is pretty much the antithesis to both Hiiro and Treize! He played a very great role in the series, and now he is reduced to only that in the OAV. Very sad indeed.
