What distinguishes this story from other 'Ranma's stuck as a girl', is the fact that he is not content to sit around, waiting for a cure to come to him, but actively seeks one out. When Jusenkyo turns out to be a dead end, he turns to magic and sorcery. Anything and everything that might have the power to break a curse is tried, unfortunately with no success, but in the trying, Ranma becomes quite powerful in the arcane arts and is now a Sorceress to be reconed with.
Of course, there's still a little matter of an engagement to deal with, and no amount of magic is about to stop it. ^_^
