CONTACT: Geoff Kirsch (718) 638-8373 TICKETS: (347) 742-8562 email: threejewsandapersian@hotmail.com THREE JEWS AND A PERSIAN TO PERFORM FOUR SKETCH COMEDY SHOWS AT SURF REALITY April, 2, 2002, NEW YORK - Living proof that we can, in fact, all get along, Three Jews And A Persian (3JNP) continue their peacekeeping mission to New York City by performing four sketch comedy shows – April 17 and 24, May 8 and 15; 9:00 p.m.; at Surf Reality, 172 Allen Street (between Stanton and Rivington).br> With this latest 3JNP run of shows, which features a collection of brand new original sketches, the group breaks out of its winter-long hibernation looking to forage in the forests of the Lower East Side comedy scene. During their two-year existence, 3JNP have made a bit of a name for themselves in NYC. They have been called “authentically original and unabashedly funny… at its best, reminiscent of some of the sophisticated nonsense of Monty Python or the Kids in the Hall,” by nytheatre.com, and “one of America’s up and coming comedy groups,” by Trace magazine. 3JNP has enjoyed sold-out houses during their six-show stand at the Producers’ Club this past December, and during an eight-week stand at Surf Reality last March and April. They have also performed before many sold-out houses at Jean Cocteau Repertory’s Club Hector, off-Broadway, dating as far back as October 1999. Additionally, the group brought in packed houses at their four- show run of Manager’s Special at The Producers’ Club two summers ago, as well as at a special engagement at Caroline’s on Broadway in September 2000. 3JNP has also represented the Jean Cocteau Repertory at the Lower East Side Theatre Festival at Theatre for the New City.
