Hi & Welcome!

If you still don't know, my name's Wei-Chieh and as I'm writing this, I’m a Singaporean studying in college for the second year.

When I was five, I was sent to a kindergarten, where I graduated with a nice little certificate (with my name spelt incorrectly) two years later. Then I entered primary school. I had the privilege (depends on how you look at, actually) to study in 3 different environments for those six years, because the school committee had decided to rebuild the school at the same site. The school moved, and I followed. So it was 2 years at one site, another 2 at the temporary site, and the last 2 at the same old site, but a transformed place.

After that, I continued my education in a secondary school. It is a fine school with a big campus, but construction work never seemed to cease (and it is still going on now...). But, I still think very much of those four years of my life at The Chinese High School. It isn’t only for the Chinese, actually.

So now, I'm in a junior college, waiting to graduate, at the end of two years, with a nice big certificate with my name spelt the right way, hopefully.

What do I want to be when I grow up? A tour manager. But that’s just a dream. Right now, I’m content with studying my notes (all over my room I can hardly breathe) and playing with my two dogs.

Ahh, my dogs ... I was hoping you wouldn’t ask me what kind they are -- I honestly do not know. From what I was told, Benny (the daddy) is a pure breed, which I still do not understand. They have short white curly fur which would become quite straight if we didn’t trim it. I guess they’d look a little cuter with a thick coat, but heat stroke would be a problem, especially in a climate such as Singapore’s.

I’d put a picture up here if I had one, but Johnny (the sonny) is afraid of cameras, so I couldn’t really take any good pictures of them together. In fact, he’s got a phobia for black things -- a black rubber ball, and even my little black toy plane. You know those "good girl-bad girl" jokes, which lists the differences between good girls and bad girls? It wouldn’t be too hard to do the same for my dogs, coz they’re soo different. It’s either Johnny’s obese or Benny’s too skinny.

So much for the dogs. As you might have guessed, I spend some of my free time on the Net too, mostly getting irked by email messages with ">>>" in them. Such mail which has been forwarded so many times should end up in the deepest well. I hate chain letters too! I think I’m under some eternal curses or something, because these chain letters always say "if you don’t send this out in the next 7 days, something terrible will happen to you, like..." and I always trash it. I just don’t see the point in getting people into trouble when they have so much better things to do. Luckily so far, I’ve been living well and good.

So what’s promised at my personal site? Here’s a little about what can be found here ...

Hey Wei-ChiehBasically a feedback form for you to write to me. Or you can email me with the address found here.
Chat @ The 74 BenchA chatroom which I frequent.
E-cards You’d LoveA free e-card service, hosted by the Digital Postcard, but a "personalised" one. It's at my other homepage at Focus-asia. Try it -- it’s very flexible.

As usual, this site (as with my other ones) is best experienced with a java-enabled browser, preferably Netscape 3.01, together with a plug-in to play the embedded midi files, like Crescendo Plus. You’d like to load the images, because there really isn’t much graphic files here. Promise. For more about this site, please go the section About This Site.

Okay, that’s about all for now. Just go ahead and use that Java applet in the top frame to navigate, or use the text links on the bottom of every page.
