Record of Lodoss War
The Age of Gods that was thought to be eternal was closing. Eternity had come to an end. The heavens shook as the armies of Falis, the supreme God of Light, clashed with those of Falaris, the supreme God of Darkness. In the seemingly endless battle, the earth wept and the seas trembled in fear. The final battle between the survivors, Marfa, the Mother-Goddess of Creation, and Kardis, the malevolent Goddess of Destruction, echoed to the ends of the earth. At the climax of their fierce battle, a continent separated, creating a land on which both the goddesses of light and darkness perished like a flame and flickered away.
Several thousand years later, the land to the south of the continent of Alecrast has become known as The Accursed Island, Lodoss.
Record of Lodoss War is a fantasy anime and one of the best series I've seen. If you like fantasy, you'll love this series, but chances are you've already seen it if you're visiting my site :-)... Anyway, there's an OAV series, a TV series (Chronicles of the Heroic Knight), and a spin off called Legend of Crystalania, *shudders*.
The accursed isle Lodoss has always had problems and disorder. When things get really bad, Parn is sent by the leader of his village to investigate. Parn sets out to stop the Black Knight and restore honor to his name. Parn's father's savs the princess knowing his name will be digraced. Parn is soon joined by Deedlit, an elf who's got a crush on him, and many others who are all going to help stop the Black Knight....
