2: Saliendo por/Going out in/しゅうへん Tokyo

Para terminar una dura semana de estudio (aunque coincidi� que casi todas las semanas, por uno u otro motivo, se quedaban en cuatro d�as laborables) nos reun�amos para cenar en alg�n restaurante y salir de copas despu駸 (casi siempre por la zona de Shibuya).

As the end of a tough week of study (though, for some reason or another, we usually had only four weekdays) we gathered together to have dinner in some restaurant and go for drinking afterwards (mainly in Shibuya area).

たいへんな　平日の　後で（。。。。。）いっしょに　出かけて、ばんごはんを　レストランで　食べて、飲みました。

Not always drinking: On weekends we used to go out in Tokyo and its surroundings. Here, walking around the Imperial Palace's gardens.

飲むだけ　じゃなくて、週末の時は　東京と。。。。を　回りました。ここは。。。。。

Cogimos un tren a un lugar llamado Sawai, a unas dos horas de Shinjuku, en un dia gris y lluvioso, por lo que apenas encontramos gente por aquel lugar y pudimos disfrutar mucho m疽 del paisaje y, OH sorpresa! una destiler�a de SAKE (el "vino de arroz") donde apenas entendimos las explicaciones, pero bueno, nos dieron una botellita de muestra.

We took a train to somewhere called Sawai, two hours away from Shinjuku, on a gray rainy day that made the place not crowded at all, so we could enjoy much more the landscape and, OH, surprise! a SAKE (the "rice wine") brewery, where we didn't really understand the explanations, but anyway we got our free sample bottle.

電車で　さわいと　言う　ところに　行った、新宿から　二時間ぐらい　かかりました。天気は　雨がふりました　だから　こんだなかって もっと　良く。。。。。

Un concierto de KOTO, un curioso instrumento con aires de guitarra flamenca en algunas piezas (ojo que en la foto estamos Marc y yo tratando de tocar el "Sakura-sakura") y la ceremonia del t�. Tambi駭 fuimos a ver SUMO y... Some times organized by the Center & Kai School, other times by ourselves, we used part of our free time to get culturized and get to know some japanese traditions. A KOTO concert, an instrument that sounded like a flamenco guitar on some pieces (notice that in this picture it's Marc and i trying to play the socalled "Sakura-sakura") and tea ceremony. We also went to SUMO and.... 時々　センターかKAIが　ひらいた　イベント、時々　自分で　何かを　きかきました。。。。。

Una curiosa coincidencia: El "kanji" de montaña puede pronunciarse como el título de "don" o "doña" (san), de modo que parece que cuando una montana tiene cierta importancia se la trata de "D�a." Es el caso de Takao-san, una bonita monta�a, a una hora y media al oeste de Tokyo.... A funny coincidence is that the "kanji" for mountain can be pronounced with the same sound as "Mr" or "Ms" (san), so that it looks like ehen a mountain is somehow important, it is referred as "Ms." This is what happens to Takao-san, a beautiful mountain, about one and a half hours west from Tokyo.... 山は　たいせつな　だったら「さん」って　言います。 たとえば、高尾さん、きれいな山で　一時間半ぐらい� @西方面　東京から　です。

La segunda vez que fui a "Do�a" Takao, lo hice con un pu�ado de gente que no conocía y que result� ser bien bien maja. Ya hab�a empezado el oto�o, y pudimos disfrutar de unos colores bien bonitos que en la ciudad de Tokyo apenas se pueden encontrar. Tras el paseo, nos reunimos en casa de Maya (que, por cierto, hace unas estatuillas chul�simas) para cenar un delicioso NABE.

The second time i went to "Ms." Takao, i joined a bunch of people i didn't know, who were very nice. Autumn had already started and we could enjoy some beatiful colours, difficult to find in Tokyo city. After hicking we all gathered at Maya's place (by the way, she makes very cool little sculptures), where we dined a delicious NABE.

二回目の高尾山は　知り会った人と　いっしょに　のぼりました。その人達�
ﾍ　本当に　すてきな。秋には　東京では　あまり　見られない　�
ｱうようが　たのしめました。ハイキングの後�
ﾅ　まやさんの家で　とても　おいしい　なべ
を　ごちそうに　なりました。
