Tomorrow Comes Crashing - Reunion 2004 | ||||
|
For years, the Paducah, KY punk scene has been just that...a
punk scene. As of recently, however, many bands have emerged from the town
and made their ways into other genres. Tomorrow Comes Crashing is one of said
bands. Not hard enough to be hardcore, not pansy enough to be "emo,"
they have split the difference and refuse to use the term emocore.
Aside from being the quintessential all-star band of Paducah, Tomorrow Comes
Crashing has established many credentials since bringing the rock into the
hardcore scene earlier this year. They have played many shows in the states
surrounding Kentucky, and have been invited to play even more.
The members of Tomorrow Comes Crashing are established musicians in their
own right, each having been in many other relatively successful area bands
prior to this. Jeremy Bachuss, vocalist/guitarist for Tomorrow Comes Crashing,
is formerly of Lovelorn and Typical Reject. Randal Griggs was previously of
Punching Bag and Oddly Enough before joining as a fellow vocalist/guitarist.
Shane Martin played bass for Peace By Peace before becoming the trance produceer
known as nshane, but has returned to his bass roots for TCC. Matt Humphrey
was the prodigal drummer for Victory Gin and has, after a hiatus, has decided
to grace Tomorrow Comes Crashing with his skills.
Don't allow their pasts to fool you, however. They have been known to throw
the rock so hard that even electricity couldn't hang with them. Their performance
and music has been compared to the likes of Braid, Sunny Day Real Estate and
Coheed and Cambria. Tomorrow Comes Crashing is a soothingly chaotic blend
that hasn't made an enemy yet, and is almost guaranteed not to anytime in
the future.
