Hello, and welcome to Tom's Travel Diaries!

I put up this website to describe some of my recent vacation trips, and also to share some of the photographs I have taken on these trips. My site currently includes pictures from New Orleans and the National Parks in Utah and Arizona. In addition to the major destinations featured above, I have pictures from Montezuma Castle National Park, Bell Rock, and Phoenix.

I was just starting to take pictures when the earliest photographs here (from New Orleans) were taken, and in fact I used a Kodak disposable camera to take these pictures. After this trip, I began using a Nikon camera; the pictures from the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, and Monument Valley were taken with this camera. Unfortunately, a computer chip in this camera failed shortly before leaving Lake Powell, and I was forced to use disposable cameras (not Kodak) at Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. As a result, the picture quality of the photographs taken at Zion in particular is not as high as the earlier photographs, although I am quite pleased with the picture taken in the Temple of Sinawava.

The Smithsonian Castle I am currently using a Minolta Maxxum STsi single lens reflex camera. The picture at the left was taken using this camera during a visit to the Washington, D.C., mall. For more pictures from this test run, pay a visit to Tom's Travel Diaries: On the Mall. I have included pictures of some of my favorite sculptures from the sculpture garden at the Hirschhorn Museum.
