I rarely watch entertainment news but during June 2002, I happened to come across Showbiz and was attracted by the hilarious way the 2 hosts, Zhang Shan Wei and Wang Ren Fu (Zax) hosted the program. I got to know about 5566 and My MVP Valentine from then on.
I admire 5566's talents and among the 5 guys, Tony attracted me most. When I first saw him, I find that he looked very familiar, as if I have seen him somewhere before. After some search thru the net, I realised that he is a host for quite a number of Taiwan variety programs and he has also hosted Showbiz before. From then on, I started to watch every episode of Showbiz and always look forward for 5566 and My MVP Valetine related news. Gradually, I begin to like Tony more and more...I can see a kind of charm in him which I can't find it in other artiste...I can see that he put in lots of effort and seriousness into his work. Therefore, I have decided to do a web about him and it's his first Chinese/English overseas web. Thus, [Tony Land] was born on 20 Sep 2002! (Tony's role, Tai Zi in My MVP Valentine appeared during the 2nd episode and it was aired in Singapore's Channel U on this day!).
I put in lots of efforts in [Tony Land]...I did my best for it...pictures/magazines has been updated very week...whenever I come across 5566 related news/information from Jungiery forum, I share it with everyone without fail. Till one fine day, someone was kind enough to drop me an email about something which really shocked me! Never did I expect that someone imposed me and posted my diaries on a web about idol related stories and she actually described it as a real story of her own! After this issue has been resolved, out of curiousity, I spent sometime and surfed around for Tony and 5566 related sites at MSN and Yahoo and I have found another shocking thing. Actually since sometime ago, a lot of MSN and Yahoo Groups have taken my web stuff (commercial images which I've captured from TV and images scenes which I've captured from Showbiz), wallpaper, magazines, self-taken photos, etc. and placed it in their own group...although I've stated very clearly in my web that all contents are meant for personal desktop usage and it's not allowed to be place it other sites. I have put in so much time and effort and yet on the other hand, people just take it and place it in their own group...they don't seems to respect me as a web owner and some people just keep defending themselves and claimed that I am selfish and not willing to share...but to me, if one is really sincere in doing a group or web for the artiste he/she likes, he/she shld put in effort to create his/her work instead of taking others' work. If he/she doesn't want to put in the effort, then he/she is unfit to be a group manager or web owner! If it's posted by their member, the group manager or web owner should take up the responsiblity to remind their members to respect one's wishes and take the initiative to monitor their members' post for the goodwill of his/her group/web. However, some people just couldn't be bothered at all...I felt extremely sad and disappointed about all these...whenever I caught a 'thief', my heart was being 'stabbed' deeply...it was very painful...as if my heart was being crushed into pieces!
Nevertheless, there are some groups which are very co-operative, I hereby thank them for repecting my wishes. These issues made me struggled for sometime...on 15 March 2003, I received a special 'message' which helped me to regain the confidence to continue on with [Tony Land]. I would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank friends who has accompanied [Tony Land] to go thru the tough times. Without the support and encouragement from you all (you know who you are), I won't be able to continue on with it too. So [Tony Land] has reborn on 5 April 2003, Saturday (56!) and I look forward to the continous support from you all towards [Tony Land], thank you!
