Takahashi Japanese Heisei Polychrome Soft Flower Vase

Japanese Hensei Vase This graceful, classical shape cylindrical shaped vase has a delicately flared rim and gently shaped foot. It is decorated with polychrome pastels of pink, blue, yellow and orange crysthanemum, star and daisy flowers and foliage, taking care to avoid covering too much of the ivory background.

The decorations were done with a combination of screen printing, airbrushing hand painting.

It was made for Takahashi, one of the two U.S. based trading companies, specializing in exports from Japan to the U.S.

It is clearly marked on the base in gray with the Takahashi logo and in block letters "SOFT FLOWER" above and "SAN FRANSISCO" below. It also has a gold sticker with the Takahashi daisy, marked in script above "Takahashi" and in block letters "SAN FRANSISCO 94103 - MADE IN JAPAN".
