![]() The formation of the Students' Forum for Theoretical Physics (SFTP) at Chiang Mai University by the group of undergraduates in physics, electrical engineering and education. The members were Burin Gumjudpai, Supapiya Taweevilaisirikul, Naratip Songmee and Decha. SFTP is a subgroup of the social activity group so called Free Energy Group. SFTP was hosted by the Ceramic Superconductor Research Laboratory, Department of Physics at Chiang Mai University.

The formation of Tptp at Naresuan University by two B.Sc. holders, Burin Gumjudpai from Chiang Mai University and Chanun Sricheewin from Chulalongkorn University. The group tried to encourage young generation of people to develop physics education and academic atmosphere of physics in Naresuan University. However later, the group becomes a network of many young physicists of Thailand.

Seckson Sukhasena joined the group when he was 3rd year undergraduate. He was followed by his junior generation, Rachan Rangdee and Tae Nam-Kaew and others. Assistant Professor Charan Promsuwan and Dr. Georg Meinhardt joined the group later on. During this period, SFTP merged with Tptp. The group was once transformed to the Project for Establishing the Centre for Theoretical Physics in the Mekong Region (CTPM Project) under the Solar Energy Research and Training Center, Naresuan University. The project did not succeed due to the need of postgraduate education of the members and moved back to the physics department. The Tah Poe Fundamental Physics Club was established under the Science Faculty Student Society. Some members had gone to abroad for postgraduate studying, some of us went to do M.Sc. in Thailand. The group tried to find the postgraduate training for members and we received the sponsorship from Khun Banyong Chat-Amorn a kind businessman who is a follower of Luang Ta Maha Bua for Seckson's partial money for M.Sc. at Suranaree University. During being in UK Burin started some physics connection with universities in UK and India. Seckson went to Mahasarakham for a lectureship and then the group recognised its second part at Mahasarakham University.

Dr. Chanopat Pakokthom joined the group. Tptp Group organised the Tptp Special Presentation on Cosmology on 17th-18th April, 2001 at Naresuan. The Tah Poe Academia project was formed. It was also recognised and joined by astrophysicists in Italy. November 2001: The 2nd All Thailand Physics and Astronomy Links (@PAL) was launched from RCG (Now ICG) Portsmouth.

April 2002: The First Tah Poe School on Cosmology (TPCosmo I) was organised at NU by Tah Poe Academia of the Tptp group. Professor Bruce Bassett, Professor Ciprian and Professor Marina-Aura Dariescu and Burin Gumjudpai gave lectures at the school. Coming of international links was set up in 2001 when Burin Gumjudpai went to the First Aegean School on Cosmology in Greece and also personal links at the Portsmouth Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation. It was the first ever technical cosmology lectures in Thailand. TPCosmo I has 13 staff and has 61 participants who are B.S., M.S., M.Eng., Ph.D. students and associate professors, lecturers from Naresuan, Chiang Mai, Chulalongkorn, Maharakham, Thaksin, Kasetsart, Prince of Songkhla and Khon Kaen Universities and also from several Rajabhat institutes in Thailand. Fifteen candidates were awarded T.p.t.p.C. in Cosmology from Tah Poe Academia for the first time on 8th April 2002. The invited lecturers had a good opportunity to meet with the President of Naresuan University after the school and had discuss about the collaboration for opening a new Ph.D. and M.S. program in Cosmology and High Energy Physics in 2004. TPCosmo I school was sponsored only by Department of Physics of Naresuan University. Tah Poe Song was first composed by Arthit Laphirattanakul (Chiang Mai) and was sung at the School closing ceremony for the first time (7th April 2002). Tptp group after the school then recognised many new members from Chulalongkorn, Chiang Mai, Prince of Songkhla Universities with the sole dream to work for Thai physics community and friendship. November 2002: Professor Ciprian and Marina-Aura Dariescu was offered the long term visiting professorship at Naresuan with the aim to establish a new Ph.D. program in Cosmology and High Energy Physics. They also will join the Tptp group at Naresuan.
