Jamie lives in Hell's Kitchen, NY. She has lived in the neighborhood her whole life, and is both a blessing and a curse. Her parents are severe drug addicts, so for the most part, Jamie raised herself. Thankfully, she made friends with a group of kids, all from bad familes: Randall Collins, Anthony Lessing, and a few others. The gang was sent to juvenile hall when a prank went wrong and placed a man in the hospital in serious condition. What happened there affected all of them, but they don't discuss it. Jamie works a lot to keep herself afloat, and when she's not working, she's usually assisting her friends in any way possible.
Jamie's compassion even extends to her main tormenter in juvie, Tracy Atkinson.
