About Treffpunkt Schutzhund Verein
Treffpunkt Schutzhund Verein was started in February 2003. Our training grounds are in El Paso, Illinois at South Point Park. Training times are on Tuesdays and Sundays evenings from 5:30 PM to whenever we’re done, but we try to finish in time to grab a bite before everyone leaves, usually around 9:30. Our training field is fenced and has lights so we can work after dark, which is a real advantage. Tracking is done anywhere in the park or surrounding fields. We also have access to 25 acres of alfalfa as well as other smaller tracking areas within 7 miles of our training field. Jose Rodriguez and Anne Rammelsberg are our great helpers and have brought our new dogs along nicely!
We are a young USA affiliate club and plan to do our affiliation trail for full member status with USA in November 2003. We welcome all breeds of dogs to participate in the growing dog sport of Schutzhund!
