Pirassununga Half Ironman - 5th Place Overall

Another great year is gone, it was amazing and I´ve achieved most of my goals:
-I went sub 9 hours for an Ironman, a very important mark in triathlon´s standards, kinda now I´m a "cool kid into the Sub9hour club"! Hahaha The event was the Ironman Brazil, I got 10th overall, among 1.200 competitors from 41 different countries, 8h52´.
-I won my first professional race, the Iron Distance Event "Cabra da Peste" in the touristical point of Fortaleza, Brazil. Brutal conditions have really made me dig very very deep to hold off Renato Dantas, a 8h40´ Ironman Guy who have raced World´s three times.
-For all races, I went up the podium, that was a big plus, I raced everything from National´s Olympic Distance, to Half Ironman and Ironmans, That inclueded a 4h06 Half IM a PB for me.
2007 seems to be a very promising year, as always I´m very very positive and motivated for the year to come, and may we all be happy, healthy and sucessfully
