Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura is
widely believed to be the oldest of the Canary Islands. Created
out of a series of volcanic eruptions many thousands of years ago the
Island is home to some of the best beaches and landscapes in the world.
It's the second biggest of the Canary islands, after Tenerife, and has
the longest beaches in the archipelago. The island is a paradise for
sun, beach and watersports enthusiasts.
As you can see from these photographs
the beautiful island of Fuerteventura has a stunning landscape to
explore. There are numerous un-crowded wonderful beaches where you can
relax and enjoy the perfect climate, hot sun and refreshing sea breezes.
If you choose to explore the inner island
landscape you will not be disappointed. As well as the many
beaches there are mountainous regions in which you can go for wonderful
walks and see stunning views of the island.
Fuerteventura
is located just 100 kilometres off the coast of north Africa. The
island is on the same latitude as Florida and Mexico and temperatures
here rarely fall below 18C or rise above 28C. There are no less than 152
beaches along its coastline - 50 kilometres of fine, white sand and 25
kilometres of black volcanic shingle.
