I'm going to tell a true story!
Today, I visited a relative in a hospital because his neck broke from
an accident. I left a hospital to go to another hospital because, my mother-in-law was
ill. What happen next?
I was several blocks from the hospital at night when my truck almost crashed. My
front and rear tire blew out on driver side of the truck. I walked a few blocks
down the road to see what, caused my tires to blow out. There was a man named Timothy and
his son working nearby and they witnessed the tires getting blown out. I was talking to
them and a man named Frank, wife, and daughter drove by hitting the man hole sticking up
around 6 inch's above, the road. Their hubcaps flew off the car and front and rear
tire blew out on driver side of the car. I walked a block or two and told them, I
saved their car hubcaps down the road. They were visiting a daughter here in Charleston
and husband and wife lived in Virginia.
The police was called then the police officer witnessed the man hole sticking up because
the road had been graded down deep. The police car blocked the man hole until, a city
maintenance truck arrived to protect other cars or trucks from the man hole. What's the
big deal? We lost our freedom! The police officer called a tow truck but, they must have
cash. No checks or credit cards excepted. Frank and his family was really upset! They
barley came up between them with the cash so, their car would be towed to the daughters
home. The family did not approve "How the police officer acted" and they did not
want to leave me "alone." I told them that, I'll be okay!
Our Rights? I told the police officer that I had a check or credit card. Truth: I don't
use a pin I.D. so, I could not get fast cash from checking or credit card. I'm going to
share my options from the city police. #1 The police officer would write a report
stating that, I refused to get my truck towed off. #2 Let my truck get towed to an auto
impound. #3 Leave my truck to be towed off and his report says, I refused to get the truck
towed off.
I didn't approve of the police report or auto impound! I wanted a tow truck and I had a
check or credit card but, little cash. I asked police officer, the auto impound will be
responsible if, my stereo system gets stolen out of the truck? No! If I'd kept running my
mouth, the police officer probably taken me to jail. I called my wife and she had $30
dollars, a niece 9 years old had $15 dollars, and I had $20 dollars for a tow truck. The
tow truck arrived and the driver said, I will do it for $65 dollars. My truck was loaded
onto a tow truck then the base station called saying, it would cost $75 dollars. I told
the tow truck driver that, I didn't have the extra-money. Lucky: The base station called
back and the person said, the driver could do it this time!
My truck tag say's, WASH IT - My heart feels as were either "family" or
"strangers." I have met a few special people tonight! Truth: The city police
"rules," seemed cold and the tow truck services do not trust US. I will pray for
them and we will be LUCKY to get our car or truck fixed by ? The police officer said, the
city or state is not responsible and the sub-contractor might pay to fix our automobiles.
I'm just thankful, a niece
husband and mother-in-law in the hospital should be fine and I met a special family from a
strange accident. Their love brings a "Happy Family." Truth: I love them and
You.
