Annual Continuous Training

Nymboida 2000
Last year TS Armidale had a weekend posting with TS Shropshire and TS Vendetta at the Nymboida Canoe Centre. Great fun was had by all as we braved the river time after time, armed only with rubber tire tubes and suffering multiple scratches and bruises.

State Sailing Titles 2000
During the Easter holidays our sailing team took part in the State Sailing Titles at Tanilba Bay. We achieved some excellent results and had a lot of fun.

National Sailing Titles 2000/2001
Over the New Year TS Armidale competed in the Corsair National Championships and came away with some wonderful results. Congratulations to all our team.

Australia Day 2001
A group of cadets from TS Armidale participated in the Australia Day celebations at Charleston Willows. After watching fire fighting demonstrations and participating in the boot throw competition, TS Armidale took part in the flag ceremony.

Annual Inspection 2001
On the 11th March, TS Armidale held its Annual Inspection. The Inspecting Officer was Commander Wynberg. Congratulations to AB Hitchcock, AB Ferguson, SMN Lancaster and LS Patton, who all won awards on the day.

Armidale Autumn Festival 2001
On the 17th March 2001, TS Armidale participated in the Armidale Autumn Festival, an annual event for the city. Faced with the impossible task of marching behind a float with loud country and western music, TSA decided try a new initiative and inject a little humour into the parade by occasionally incorporating some linedancing moves into their march. This was met with much applause from parade audiences, and TS Armidale won 2nd prize in the walking division for the parade.

Skill at Arms 2001
Every year TS Armidale hosts 'Skill at Arms', a tri-service cadet competition. This year it was held on 23 - 25th of March. Unfortunately this year no Army cadet units could attend, due to recent policy changes. However, 8 teams from Naval and Air units still battled it out and at the end of the weekend 'Culgoa 1' walked away with 1st place.

Anzac Day 2001
Each year on 25th April, TS Armidale takes part in the Anzac Day celebrations to commemorate the fallen
