ABOUT

Four years ago, at Sunnyvale Baylands Park, in conjunction with Silicon Valley Tsinghua Network (SVTN, tsinghua@yahoogroups.com, www.tsinghua.net) annual reunion picnic, SVTN officers and organizers from Volleyball Fremont started this volleyball tournament. Since then, it becomes an annual event. Team CNetwork, Stanford Chinese, Tsinghua Network were the Champions in the past 3 years, while team Volleyball Fremont, Eureka Club, Nankai Alumni Association, Tianda Alumni, Dida etc. teams also won trophers or happily joined the events and had great fun!

TsingHua Cup Volleyball Tournament is then followed by other two major events in the Chinese communities: Joint Alumni Associations picnic (August) and GuoQing Celebration (September), which led to the Joint Alumni Associations Volleyball Tournamnet and the GuoQing Cup Volleyball Tournament. Tsinghua Network started and organized GuoQing Cup Volleyball Tournament for Chinese communities in 2002 and 2003, and also
organized the Joint Alumni Associations Volleyball in 2003. These 3 volleyball tournaments served up to 20 volleyball teams each time, and are well-recognized by the Silicon Valley Chinese communities.
