Meet my family:
This
is Heather..taken Aug '97 on the day we took Kristin back to Ia State
I met Heather for the first time in 1970. Gordon (my dad) and Jackie (my stepmom) moved from Minneapolis
to Shawnee KS... just two doors away from Heather's family. I spent several summers in Shawnee during college
and we began dating. The "long distance" relationship worked out and we've been married 23+ yrs.
Heather's an Iowa State graduate in speech/theatre & has her Master's degree in school administration.
She is presently retired... devoting her time to her real loves: decorating, gardening & landscape design.
In her next life she's going to be a horticulturist and own a nursery / landscaping business. In all
likelihood, Terry will still be doing the digging for her.
Note: Heather's friends wondered why my brothers'
photo was before her photo... so I've moved her
up. Whining will get you everywhere!
That's me (Terry) on the left.
This photo was taken during our 5/97 visit to Grand Forks ND. Brother Scott (Thompson) is in center and brother Jeff is on the right. Jeff's daughter, Kassi, graduated from Red River High School (my alma mater, Class of 1970).... the primary reason for our trip home.
Kristin with cousin Hallie Litt (July '97)
She's a junior at Iowa State Univesity in Ames... majoring in Early Childhood Education. She's finally gotten into classes that she enjoys... and stays busy with Pi Beta Phi sorority activities. Her favorite job right now is working with a toddler's tumbling class... "they're so cute". She'll turn 21 on Feb 15, 1998. That makes her mom & dad feel older than dirt!

Ryan's
a 17-yr old junior at Stephen Decatur High School.
School comes easy for Ryan... he's been getting straight A's. Science & math are favorites of his, so we won't be surprised if he chooses a technical career (like his engineer dad). He's active in Redcoats (marching band), Thalia (theatre) and Scholastic Bowl.... a.k.a. "Nerd Bowl".

Gordon's my dad... and is President & CEO of a recruiting firm!
This isn't a real great photo of Dad... but it's the best I've got on file. Kristin & her cousin Kassi spent their Spring Break '97 in Phoenix and this photo was taken on the morning they had to leave for the "Great White North". Dad, Jackie (my step-mom) and my sister Stephanie all live in Phoenix. They say the winters are much better than North Dakota, Minnesota or Kansas !

Donna
(mom) and boys
That's Scott, Jeff, Terry (me), Donna and Harlow.
While growing up, Jeff and I lived in Grand Forks with our mom and step-dad (Harlow Thompson). After
we were both out of the home, they moved with their son Scott (our brother) to the Twin Cities area until Harlow's
retirement. They enjoy their retirement... if you don't count the blizzards or floods!
