After the betrayal of Paul Bearer, the Undertaker continued his battles with Mankind until he eventually won the WWF title in March 1997 (Wrestlemania the 13th). He held the title for 5 months (and in that time, reluctantly went back with Paul Bearer regarding a "secret" that led to Kane's debut in the WWF). UT then had Kane to contend with, and he would not fight him until Kane set UT ablaze in a casket at the Royal Rumble 1998. Throughout 1998, UT fueded with Kane in many a match, including an inferno match which UT won, and UT had the legendery Hell in a Cell match with Mankind. By the end of 1998, UT had been feuding with Austin and eventally turned heel. He was gone a bit in the last month of 1998 (shooting Poltergeist I believe) and returned in the beginning of 1999 with the Ministry.
