Habitat Tidbits:  Sunday, July 29th we welcomed to our new church about 20 members of Laurel United Methodist Church out of Springfield then headed on a journey.

When we arrived in Pikeville, Kentucky the foundation was in place for the house we were assigned to build.  When we left just five days later the new three bedroom, two bath house had a roof with shingles in place, a porch, and siding.  Everything was done except for the electrical, insulation, drywall and finishing work.  Wow, what a job!  What teamwork!!

While there we met members of the family that would soon live in the new home.  One thing that touched all of our hearts was when the little girl in the family, who lived in a ½ shed in the back

that was half covered up by plastic, took her pillow and blanket and slept in her new room even before the roof was put on.
