| As owner and founder of Turbo Techniques, LoRenzo Daniel has a resume that is matched by few. He is one of the most prolific sprinters in NCAA history. During his tenure at Mississippi State, LoRenzo set several NCAA records. His finest moment no doubt came in 1988, when he set the collegiate record for the 200 meters with a time of 19.87 seconds (which still stands). At that time, this was fifth fastest 200 meters ever run and just .15 seconds off of the world record. During LoRenzo' s freshman campaign, he established a World Junior Record for the 200 meters with a time 20.07 seconds (which still stands). This means -no one under 20 years old has ever run the 200 meters faster. He also still holds the collegiate record for 300 meters (indoors) at 32.67 seconds. He is also the only athlete to ever win the Southeastern Conference 200 meters title for four consecutive years. LoRenzo holds many Southeastern Conference records and even more at Mississippi State. Following his collegiate career, LoRenzo served as a graduate assistant under Bob Kitchens at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). While at UTEP, he recruited and helped train several Olympians. Although his career was cut short by a severe injury prior to the 1988 Olympics, LoRenzo is considered one of the best 200 meters runners ever.
