Vocabulary for Life (Eighth Grade and Up)

Vocabulary for Life is a unique multimedia program designed to help
older students build their vocabulary, while at the same time understand
and use the English language more expressively. This full-year CD-ROM
course based on the Calvert book, A Growing Vocabulary, contains
lessons, reviews, and exercises, and is rich in graphics, animation, audio,
and interactivity. Lessons are connected to classic literature and include
numerous passages from well-known books and poems, both to put
words in context and show how writers popularize, embellish, and add
new words or phrases to our vocabulary. This course may be used in
beginning preparation for the SAT examination.
